Unless someone is willing to do the refueling etc of the towers and/or aaa halves the rent we have to pay I'll start tearing the towers down during april as I can not spend the time to keep them up with the changes ccp are going to push through.

Can not or will not?

I understand though.

At least I neither feel like, nor got the means for refueling stuff. I think that has been clear for a long time, anyway...

You know I wont go I near them.

If you think renting is a bad idea after this change, although I have no actual clue as to how much it will affect BC anyway - since CCP isnt releasing actual numbers and the others I have linked in the BC forum thread are forum conjecture - then maybe its time for whats left of maadi to move on to pastures new or quit eve or just leave maadi as it is and not do anything with it.

As said in the other thread - see exactly how this changes things for BC before we make changes and such, it may pan out to be rabble rabble rather than all isk gone byebye etc. Not that CCP is helping by not providing numbers.

Well, lets say it like this.
The current upgrades we have will be equivalent to about lvl5 in the future. You will probably make less isk/h than a lvl3 agent in high...
Grayscale did give solid numbers (he might have deleted them and will change his mind) but they were something like this:
1. Good space ~0.7-> is boosted
2. decent space ~0.4 - 0.7 is left reasonably unchanged
3. bad space 0.2 - 0.4 is severly nerfed
4. useless space 0 - 0.2 is nerfed to oblivion

For anything below 0.4 iirc ALL high end anomalies get removed. So the hubs we get now will only be at lvl4 and 5... They usually don't have any battleships.

The given reason has nothing to do with the economy (and tbh that would be idiotic as the same amount of isk was made pre dominion in lvl4s... so there is no increase in inflation)
They are claiming this will mean less stable coalitions (in what damn way??? the coalition hold basically only strategic systems AND 0.7 amd up... its only renters that hold the ones below...)
They are claiming it will give new alliances more opportunities... thats rich... In what way? Lets hypothesize our 2 systems are empty, -a- have no interest in them for anything. Does ANYONE think they would allow a small alliance to set up shop there?
As soon as the tcu goes online a mail will come to the director of the alliance stating "you have claimed sov in a system under our control, relinquish it immediately and pay 10bn to get a temporary blue status"
And if you refuse 20 SC will come visiting and blow you to smithereens. Or if they remove the capitals completely 300 battleships...

So the ONLY thing this does is force the little guy to bend over further and given that I think 2bn for the shit systems we have is rich... well...

I knew he'd removed posts - must have been ones with actual numbers in (and noone seems to have quoted them in that thread :S).

Thing Im wondering at this point in time does the space we have get the highends - Sanctums/Havens/Hordes which they are removing (nothing else after having read the blog half a dozen times this afternoon) - at all and did we ever have a chance of getting them even at L5 even before considering next week?

And yes the rent is a little crappy when you consider the changes - if they remove something the members are already getting, if they dont then theres actually no change surely?

(The Sov system hurts my head so forgive me if I seem like a devils advocate over this - im just trying to understand it all without resorting to asking EVEO for more than a diagram!)

From what I remember. No.
Havens were at 0.4 and up sanctums at 0.6 or 7...
I of course have no solid evidence but just my recollection reading this at the same time being pissed off and trying to stay calm enough to write a decent app for a job i'll not get...
(heck not only this shit i'm pissed about but lots of other thing in rl etc... it all just adds up and that omber guys insult well.. )

True there is "no" change. Apart from the fact that I suspect they will push the quality down a peg in general.
So at lvl 3 (since thats where we are iirc) we would not get hubs but they would come at lvl4 instead. Or we would get frig bonanza hubs which give no money.
But if you look at it today, the systems doesn't actually support more than 3-4 concurrent pve:ers with decent skills/ships and that could if we use the BEST scenario of it adding 8 hubs for lvl4+5 would increase to maybe 5-7 people but that would be pushing it ALOT.
So while it might not remove much it removes any and all reason behind upgrading and living in the space imo. Just not worth the effort to pay the rent in order to not even be able to make decent cash to get decent ships for pvp (which I never seem to have time for anyway but well since we don't have access to aaa JB network and all the open fleets use them thats quite simple)
Any change that makes you do more boring stuff to do fun stuff means less time to do fun stuff whatever you think is fun and that is a bad change for a game.
This is such a thing. As would the removal of Rorq/JF/JB be as it would force people to do more boring stuff to do fun stuff making eve into a second job.

to answer your question Jon:
at our current state we dont have access to havens et al. (or maybe a random one once in a while, think Sin had one a few weeks back), but when we upgrade more (lvl 4,5), we do: I dont know exact numbers, but lvl 4 and 5 should spawn some of them.
right now it's not a difference between our current space or -1.00 space, all 0.0 has same chance to spawn stuff. or so I've understood the current situation.

[edit]2 sanctums and 2 havens no matter what trusec at pirate detection V it seems: http://www.eve-search.com/thread/1361046/page/1)[/edit]

Quote
Only 3 days and we have to pay rent, so please fill up the alliance bank again

New Eden Recon Force: 1,340,363,636 (this is minus the pay for the sovereignty)
Ma'adim Logistics: 942,954,545
Duolith Systems: 348,533,763
Omber Company: 1,501,742,424
Interstellar Armaments and Ammunition: 139,696,970

Please get these amounts on the bank within a day or 2 (we must pay -A- on the 14th).

so the right thing to do is pay this months rent and then say we'll leave?
when will last tower be pulled out? i lost track.

You read my mind.

I do think that paying the next period rent is the polite thing to do, gives them time to find replacement corp and what not. And while EVE is cold and mean, we dont have to be!

YOU and NOW :)

i voted :D :D
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

Well yeah, I dont mind to do it, they hate my guts already anyway.
My biggest question is when, we might want to time this somewhat right.

Weekend ish.

Along lines of MAADI's closing/whatever. Not as active as we were, people looking at other options/even other games, we arent really of major aid to alliance as we play less and less (they seem to get on regardless), Mangs reducing all his alts / active accounts due to disatisfaction with CCP (not enough to quit).  Paid rent to ensure you have time to look for replacement corp / negotiate with AAA over changes (this would require an alliance CEO that plays more than Sin (dont say that part)) to the bills they pay.

Yada yada yada.
