Hisec Player Owned Station

First steps on this road have been taken.

I have created an alt to be my research char in the new alt corp Mangala will be able to setup tomorrow. Mangala will need to stay in the corp for around a week to get the standings to sufficient level to actually anchor the POS Control tower and labs.

Simud Solaris (CEO Alt, on same account as Mangala, not another new account!) will then accept applications from NO Standings characters with the skills here:

1) Choose Caldari
2) Choose Achura
3) Choose any gender
4) Assign stats to +3 int , +2 mem
5) Choose Inventors
6) Choose Industry
7) Choose Engineer
8.) Choose Entrepreneur
9) Make your pretty picture

You should now have the following relevant skills by default:
Laboratory Operations V (Control 6 slots)
Research III (15% bonus to research production efficiency speed)
Science III (15% faster copying time, also pre-requisite skill)

Thus far, we have needed zero training time, and have been born with 802,000 skill points. After this, you will need to purchase the following skills, or obtain from the local market when you arrive in whatever system the station is in.

Corporation Management - 10,000 isk(/yellow]
Scientific Networking – 6.75m isk
Metallurgy – 315,000 isk

Do the skill training in this order:

(which will let them use research on the tower and its labs) then we can move on from that stage.

I'll be posting seperate threads breaking down fuel requirements and such like later this evening.

I've found some POS fuel (most types) that I have put up as a contract to Mangala Solaris for 7 days.
There are isotopes also but it depends on what tower you're going to be putting up.
Edit: It also include some XL ammo for your guns.

I have limited contracting at the mo - so let me know when you've claimed it - and I'll do the next.

The current one is in Konora and the next will be in Fliet.

Cheers - accepted 2 of the 3 - i'd recontract the BPC packs to Ma'adim Logisitics via any of my chars currently in that corp so that way they are in the hands of the Builders

As for towers, I am looking at a Caldari Med or a DG Med really - enough to handle what we'd like on their and not too much of an investment either (less than a bill all in with modules etc).

They use:

Enriched Uranium
Coolant
Robotics
Mechanical Parts
Oxygen
Nitrogen Isotopes
Heavy Water
Liquid Ozone
Strontium Calistrates (spelling) for Reinforced mode protection if we do get decced (doubt it)

The Cadlari Med also requires Caldari Starbase Charters.

AM looking at either of these, as given Mangs massive caldari standings, its easier to setup a tower there - and maybe one in Amarr space eventually - While tower type matters little I just went with the options that would allow us to gather our own fuel from closer sources rather than needing to buy or ship from other regions.

Excellent, I'll be on numerous accounts shortly. Finally got a storyline on mangala that will start the standings boost for the research corp.  It seems you need to get a storyline while in corp, not merely complete one as I had thought earlier in the week :S

are different from skills mentioned in the guide you posted (http://www.eve-guides.com/ittey/intro.html). That correct?

Thats invention specific skill s- take them as an extra to the research/bp copying related skills that the alts ideally should start with (also teaches me to clarify posts full stop )

Ok, could you give some directions what BPOs need to be researched and which need to be purchased?
I would love to buy all i BPOs can eat on NPC-market, but dont think wallet would like that   

Also: At this time (i.e. public stations) material research is nigh impossible (>20 days waiting list), so its either copy or time-research, any preferences in that?

KASEI wont be purchasing BPO's, MAADI - once the POS is up (assuming my tickets on wtf is going with my corp standings in KASEI ever gets answered) - will transfer BPO's it needs copies off, research done and such to KASEI for those to be done there at the tower, free of queues

However if you are mucking about learning it then time-research is as good as anything to do nor now until the tower is in place and the surrounding infrastructure.

As for purchasing BPO's for MAADI's stocks - you have access to the wallet iirc so dont worry too much, although check npc market vs contract if you see packs on unreaseached BPO's on contacts, as often times people are trying to off load them for a greater figure than the npc's sell them at!

I'd suggesting concentrating on stuff that would also be useful inhouse in MAADI - guns, ammo, shield/armor mods etc etc

great thanks, ill go shop about for medium proj/hybrid ammo first, dont think we really need module bpo's yet, now that we're not in 0.0 yet

So it looks they changed how a player corp gains standings:

Thank you for contacting customer support. Please note that new members' (include the founder of the corp) personal standing shall be counted in corp average 7 days after he joins the corp. Since you founded the corp at 12.23 , your corp standing shall appear after today's downtime. No important missions are needed to trigger corp standing update.

I can start doing actual tower related things in a day or two (having new years in the way isnt a help, so rather than get half way through tower stuff, do it all in one over the weekend).
