I have seen screenshots of the cut out V, and I have seen the pointed V in game, and the pointed V is the same length as the other cloaks.

thinking out loud here:

5 is a nono for me cloakwise
2, 6, 7, 8 too plain for my taste
pattern of 9, although its bit dwarven-ish, which i like...  but still... nah...

this leaves 1, 3, 4 & 10

I think 10 can be very interesting. In this setting it seems a bit simple, but if you set a dark background with a light foreground (e.g. 'gold' on dark red) ánd if the emblem fits right into the shield, this could be cool. Could be a ++ for me.
1 gets a +/-, 3 and 4 get a +

Personally, I like the elven symbolism most. 185, 220, 223, 224 and 232 are my favourites of those.

However, given that we have a mix of all races I think we should probably avoid anything that shouts any particular race. There are precious few of them, though.

Its the first of the 2 BIG polls for this week on this particular topic.  Title says it all really. 

I have spent alot of time trying to find ones that are as neutral as possible in regards to a specific race, but also thrown in a couple that show the dwarf in us all..  *What can I say the dwarf ones are pretty good overall!* One or two are the same basic emblem but a different color (not chosen by me, it is hard coded as part of the Emblem selection), but still nice enough for me to include as an option.

Poll will run for 5 days, and I am allowing 2 vote per person (to counter any fence sitters!).

Two eagles in there... perhaps we can just use one eagle this vote and decide on a colour for the emblem later?

Think I'll pass on this one. Not much there to my personal liking. I quite fancied the idea of fighting for cock.

Given that so many of the symbols are in sets that differ only by colour I think you could have maybe given a much wider choice on symbols and then given us a choice of colour later.

The eagles are the nicest on offer there but there isn't much choice for people who like clean simple lines.

The eagles are probably the only ones I'd show on my cloak. Five isn't bad but it's far too dwarfy for me, and the first three are far too pernickety and literal.

I have only been in the guild a little while so feel a bit funny about saying something like this, but I am not particulaly keen on any of the above. I just wanted to say that so if I mentioned it later no one would say I should have voted:-)

Stephen, agree in some ways with what you say, but non racial, simple choices pretty much are thin on the ground. And whats left after that are mainly heavily elfish, dwarvish or very human (although they do look ok for that), not sure if we see the destro ones as I cant recall any decidely evil ones.

As for the colours of the Emblem - didnt think of that, but given the choices overall it was pretty hard to choose those I did.

If we wouldnt get 1 differing image per member, i'd add a suggestions option to the poll, but we'd never get it sorted!

Did we decide on a background pattern yet? I thought we had, though I'm not sure which (and I'm way too lazy to go check). I think it'll be much easier to decide on an emblem if we have our chosen background pattern on each of the options. As it is, because there's a different background on these pics, it's difficult to choose impartially.

Ok, Finland is a nice country with lovely people and we have quite a few in the guild but I don't know if I want to run around with their flag on my back. What if they beat us at icehockey and every step I take I will be reminded about it. The horror! the horror!

I vote for the non-finnish flag version but with the golden eagle thingy on it. There you have it, I am thinking out of the box
