Ok, been looking at Battleclinic for some ideas for a PVE Mael. Found 2 perma-fits that seemed ok. Copied one and slightly tweaked the other.
What do you think is the best fit?






The first has a better defence, the other better dps.
- What will be most useful when missioning?
- And would it make a difference if I would solo or mission in a group (i.e. would one fit be better for solo and vice versa)?


Ofc, IF(s) could be swapped for (a) damage specific hardener(s), but me being lazy I would prefer to keep em this way.

Either / or really work for missioning, dps fit would be better for groups and tank fit better for solo stuff I'd think.

Oh btw, also made a variation on the first one that had one SBA swapped out for an AB. Gave 695 defence. That still enough you thinks?


Aaaand a lolfit with most midslots filled with Officer mods, giving a whopping 2363 defence  :D

First times soloing level 4's you could try those permafits, but i would try to replace first 1 then both Flux coils from that second fit with 2 Gyrostabs or a Gyrostab and a Tracking Enhancer. The faster you kill the less dps you got to tank and capstability isnt really needed for missions unless you expect to disconnect a lot. :)
Switching hardeners depening on what you are up against can help a lot in some cases but this is something up to you. Could always try invuls then warp out and put in other hardeners if you need to.
Faction ammo doesnt cost much but boost your dps a lot!
And get those t2 medium drones!

Oh and my old raven with no faction stuff didnt have more than 600 dps against guristas and i still got it in my hangars even after doing a lot of lvl 4's and screwing up on a few triggers. Eve survival and warping out when needed to ftw. :)

Well... Red and not capstable, but I think I can fly these ánd be capstable in about 3-4 weeks.

Not yet, but I am close to fitting requirements (in a week or so) and the rest of the time I need to train stuff like energy management, which I had planned in the next month anyway (and can't be capstable without anyway).
T2 generally being cheaper than meta 4 items, I am content with waiting a bit before I can fly this.
