Rens as a trade hub might have a lot of stuff, but it doesn't come cheap. From earlier and current experience, ships are very expensive in Heimatar and I wouldnt be surprised if the same goes for mods.
I suggest you go shopping in Hek (15 jumps from our new home instead of 9). But maybe others have found even better places to shop (besides Jita)?
