Well, after flying around some, a bit too cautiously, we decided to make a stand near a busy system. We got one bomb on our heads before (just damaging shields) but not soon after we began our cry for fiery deaths we got another bomb on our heads, killing hrod.
Cmaxx and I managed to kill (???) a t1 frig (hurray!), although we dont have a killmail. We dont want to believe he got away, so we decided he got a coupe de grace from one of his smelly french friends. At around this time, a 10-man gang jumped us and they managed to take out cmaxx, but I got away to a planet. The next gate I jumped to (the way out) was bubbled though, so I found my Waterloo soon after.
Conclusion: we need more practice in doing these things. This was my 2nd time FC-ing I think and it is hard to decide when and where to make a stand, search for targets, or wait at a gate. So we should do this more often!

All in all had a fun night. Would be cool to have more ppl along though. But hey, who can blame the British Railway or old age?  :D

btw, had a little chat with one of the guys that killed us, after i was podded. we got their thanks for bringing some excitement to a boring night  ;)

Sorry about that - got off the train and an ex manager of mine was getting off next carriage. So we went for a catch up drink that led to meeting up with a stack of old colleagues and going to clubs I thought i'd grown out of :(
