I could consider making an ice mining alt, would be on the same account as Hrod though so it would have to wait until i have a cruiser and some skills for that (Sunday or Monday I would suspect to have a Stabber depending on funds).
About 2 weeks I think it would take to get into the medium mining barge.

Swuliina will have the skill to fly a Mining Barge next Wednesday, and will have Ice Harvesting 1 then too. Just need to find a Mining Barge and the harvesters  ;D

Make sure it is the second tier barge, more useful for mining since the first one is rubbish.

That is needed for ice mining? Dang, then I surely won't be able to mine ice next Wednesday... I thought Mining Barge I  and and Ice Harvesting I were the bare minimums to get into the business, and I'd be able to train the skills better while taking part in the mining operations :(

The Covetor would be available for Swuliina some time late March, so if that is what is needed, then I won't be available for ice harvesting in a looong time...

Eh? sure? If I make a brand new char it would take 15 days according to evemon to get to the retriever which is the second tier one, the covetor is third tier.

Ok, I may be confused with tier and tech and level and whatnots... So, just to be sure:

Procurer is tier one and I should not touch it. I woud be able to fly one next Wednesday.
Retriever is tier two and is good. I would be able to fly one next week on Sunday.
Covetor is tier three and takes a godawful long time to get but is really worth it in the long term.

So, I should stay clear of the Procure?

From what I understand yes. For normal mining the retriever is decent, some battleships still outmine it but they can't mine ice. The procurer can only mount one strip miner and apparantly (going by the mining guide so anyone feel free to correct me) that means it mines worse than the mining cruiser.

Sorry, what I meant to say was:

Myene's currently in the middle of Astrogeology V, which is a 10d remaining training.
After that, she'll work on Spaceship Command for the three pips required to get her to Covetor.
She could train to fly retriever first - I'll plug it into EveMon when I get home tonight ;-)

I have a covetor and a retriever. ( i got them as a done deal together which saved me around 25 mill on the seperate prices   ;D) Both will be available for others to use around the end of february when my mining alt goes into a hulk.
I don't intend to sell either of them and will keep them for corp use. So dont go spending huge amounts on advance buying them if you are currently training towards a mining barge.

Santola is just a few jumps away, has 2 ice fields and is 0.8 sec.
Not looked their yet but could be a possible site for White Glaze

No ice there anymore - CCP let ice in 0.8 and higher vanish after it got mined out. Ice is now only found in 0.7 and lower. 

As for would it have been White Glaze - yes it would as Santola is Caldari space :)
