Mythic Burns Gold Farmers & Sellers
« on: September 23, 2008, 05:32:22 PM »
Not seen it yet on our server, but apparently when a GM bans a gold-farmer/seller account, a server-wide message comes up stating that "Insert Faction Ruler Here" has had "Insert Gibberish Name" and all their family burned at the stake.

And given Mythics track record in hating Gold-sellers & hackers with equal vengeance, then live should get pretty cushty for us regular folks :)

seen a shout like that yesterday and had no idea what it was about.

good to see that even thats its early they are tackling this plague which can ruin games.
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

That's fantastic, nice bit of game fluff but also lets us know thier doing at the same time.

Played Pirates of the Burning Crusade for a wee while and liked a feature they had where when you put a spammer on your ignore list it automatically reported them at the same time if you chose the correct option. Can't see that the accounts for these people wuld have been lasting long with everyone doing that to them.

Oh and this is my first post.  ;D
