Says it all really.
I really really feel like a 5th wheel when it comes to the ingame side of stuff. I have no obvious utility. Like a solar powered torch. If there was stuff I could or wanted to do, that didnt feel like a chore I would (God knows how Red does all the shit he does and the rest of you who help out)
So much goes on in game and given how little my playtime is currently, I never really catch up on shit.
I have no idea what the corps place in the alliance is as they suck for anything on the out of game info side, and even the ingame channels I know about are dead half the time. (Vent and me suck as if I use it I have to turn shit down as it doesnt have easy volume options). Theres probably channels Im missing stuff in, but :S So without knowing that, how can I find shit I can do and do it for the corps and eventually an alliances benefit.
I loathe the very idea of POS warfare, and well thats not going anywhere any time soon. And alliance roaming isnt roaming it seems. Its gate-camping with a tiny amount of movement. As for the actual shooty, too much political BS involved, I want to shoot anything thats not purple and blow the consequences really. Oh and having to show up for ops that then might not happen for another 4 hours while one side metagames the other and then not even shooting something doesnt interest me either. I want blood!
Building & mining doesnt interest me like it used to do. (Given that the fun stuff to build is an awful amount of effort for spending too much time in price wars and such: T2 market is horrid unless you are part of something major and can manage the whole chain and T3 isnt easy either given how OP sleepers are!).
Basically i feel like ive lost my way right now. SO this topic could go away or it could really happen. but meh.

And dont get started on ships I could/should/can fly. I can fly too many and well enough but thats not it either - ships are the means to an end, but what end...

Hics are always good from what I understand in both small and large gangs.
As to the "roaming" thing, there are plenty of neuts or reds to shoot most of the time and there are always people willing to do some real roaming killing the neuts or reds :)
In those gangs I would think that hics, hacs and ceptors are the base.

im keeping my focus small gangs, 8 or less.
Preferrably corp only.
No blobs, nothing like that. Its not my idea of fun - even if big blobs (when ccp give us formations then I'll saay fleets) full of huge ships do appeal to the scifi geek inside me the uses to which such fleets are put across eve makes me cry and bored and leads to posts like my op and vrious other complaints.
Oh and BUBBLES! I'd get to bubble stuff!!!

I'm always up for roaming to kill reds/neuts in any shape or form.

as Eiwen says hes always up for PVP, me it depends on my mood but once ive solidified my Assault ships maybe ill enjoy it more. I have been doing training towards anchorable bubbles but the differences in sizes and T2 are fucked skill wise :)
maybe my ADHD will make me train dictors at some point

I had a similar experience. Logged in to my caracal (only vessel i have at present in our POS apart from a hulk ;) ) joined the fleet channel and fleet its self and was basically told i was the most throw away ship in the fleet and hence could scout till i die.... Highly unimpressed when i'd fitted the caracal with full T2 just so i could survive doing some ratting for the time being....
As for wandering around in a corp fleet looking for nastys. I'd be up for that. My only issue is that Im completely brassed at present due to my extended down time with r/l work . So i dont have the funds to replace any of my losses until i can get the time to start earning isk again....
p.s. im going to make a little post about mining later. Mostly cos of questions i need to ask and stuff i need to understand about the 0.0 setup. Now i finally have a couple of clones down there im finding myself rather lost and confused by alot of things.....

Bare with it Mang i know exactly what you mean. I'd just got comfortable in high sec and found a niche i could fill with the mining and ore processing and when it all moved to 0.0 its kind of put me back at square 1 and not quite sure where i fit in etc either.

Dont say this out loud, but I log on to some tower fuel mails on mangala.
It actually was fun to figure out moving fuel and scouting my route and stuff :)

heh, on a more serious note: i agree a lot of 0.0 life has working characteristics and what you describe about the alliance sounds true too. I wonder if this is temporary (under PMS pressure) or chronic. A lot has changed the last weeks for the corp and people who couldnt be online too much (beo, mac, swuul) might have problems catching up.
Anyway, I'd like small gang warfare very much and you know what? We are in 0.0 and very close to lowsec too, so doing some pewpew should be fairly easy, if enough ppl are willing to participate, but I think that shouldnt be too much of a prob. We need to bring back some fun and excitement in corp life I guess, but we cant look to others for that - we'll have to do this ourselves.

Low sec roaming would be good once again, as we do have the means to rat our sec back up now :)
0.0 is better but more risk of stupid bubbles, unless they are ours ;D
