Any thoughts on the attached setup?
Not sure what to stick into the available rig slots. I'm thinking of something along the lines of armor/shield rather than missiles.

Really not sure about the role for the maurauder - why would you go for a massively uninsurable golem, when you can have a fully insurable raven ...?

Overall the Maurader has better resists and more HP - therefore generally better staying power.
Their role bonus allows them to pack more punch generally:
Caldari Battleship Skill Bonus: 10% bonus to cruise missile and torpedo velocity and 5% bonus to cruise missile and torpedo explosion velocity per level
Marauders Skill Bonus: 7.5% bonus to shield boost amount and 7.5% bonus to effectiveness of target painters per level
Role Bonus: 100% bonus to cruise missile and torpedo damage, 100% bonus to range and velocity of tractor beams
Compared to the Raven:
Special Ability: 5% bonus to Cruise and Siege Launcher Rate Of Fire and 10% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo Velocity per level.

I suppose for L4 mission running it's a good vehicle .. not sure I'd take one into 0.0 though ...

After insurance? You'll get your 750M on the carrier back ... :-)

Aye - but factor in the cost of insuring the ship in the first place and market prices and you're still making a hefty loss just on the price of the ship.
But regarding the fitting...
Anything glaring missing? It's been a while since I played with ship fits.

Wont tank sustained damage. Its missing a Booster. (XL if possible).
That would probably demand grid rigs of some sort (CCC's ideally) to answer the rigs question :)

Consider the following - will tank up to 413 sustained DPS of any flavour and gives you 55K HP.
You can lower the tank and add a targeter, or just use the TP drones as you considered in your example
