opens Monday 3rd March https://www.lotro.com/guides/lotro-64-bit-transfer-faq-en
Im hoping to move to Orcrist
Only issues i am facing currently is that as i am not kin leader i cannot retrieve my purchase cost of kin house, i would like to do so so i can repurchase on new server
Questions?
-
Im happy to push KL over to you if you want?, youve dealt with the stuff before re server moves - and from reading around its best KL moves first and my work schedule is all over the show. And you did the spend on the Kinhouse etc
Also good choice with Orcrist - Laurelin has been nice but considerably quieter than Id like, even with a healthy stable of chars to move between - less rp focus just attracts more people ime.
-
ALso its about time this happened - 64 bit worlds - game just isnt fun when Laurelin/32bit client shits the bed. Ive been giving a lowbie on Mordor a go and its bloody night & day.
-
Ill happily transfer KL back once move complete and new kinhouse purchased etc
-
I had hope I could get my old character back when I saw Dark World Snowbourn transfers, but apparently I lost my old character because I didn't even transfer it to Snowbourn. Oh well.
My level 15 bard may show up on the new server. ;D
-
Probably no need, but I have 3 of my 14 names reserved on Orcrist.
-
as usual with MMOs its a shitshow, an hour after xfers go live and they disable tool so they can "catch up" lol Ill try again later
-
Delayed opening until tomorrow to allow more time for xfers.
"Free character transfers continue to our new 64-bit game worlds, and we are experiencing even heavier demand than anticipated. To provide additional time for players to transfer their characters, we will be moving the opening of our 64-bit game worlds to Thursday, March 6th at 1:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT). This additional time will give players across the world additional opportunity to transfer their characters at an hour that is appropriate for them. Thank you!"
-
Given how loud the community has been about server upgrades, 64bit etc for as long as forever, they dropped the ball here. "greater demand" my ass.
-
Transfer button hasn't shown up yet for me so far after logging into my account in the LOTRO launcher.
-
Update as of 15 mins ago "We are currently working to speed up the queue and investigate other aspects of our transfer service, and the transfer button remains unavailable. We will keep you updated.
We are working to reopen the transfer service to new transfers. We are also investigating issues with Gladden specifically. As soon as we have more information we will let you know."
Ill try again in the morning, busy this evening

Update:
"The new 64-bit game worlds will open on Friday, March 7th at 1:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT). We are also adjusting the date for the start of transfers between the new 64-bit game worlds, which will take place on a rotating weekly basis, to Wednesday, March 26th, and the end date for these transfers will now run through May 20th, 2025. We are also adjusting the date for free transfers from our previously-closed game worlds. The new date for so-called "dark world" transfers will be announced soon.
The transfer button is currently disabled, and we expect this button to remain disabled until about 8:00 AM Eastern (-5 GMT) tomorrow (Thursday, March 6th.) "
Ill try again tonight
-
Shitshow continues
"LATEST on Character Transfer Timing:
We have temporarily disabled character transfers while we work to optimize our transfer process. We will open our new 64-bit worlds on Friday, March 7th at 1:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) with purchasing of classic and premium housing disabled. This will allow players to continue name reservations and play on transferred or newly-created characters while transfers continue. We expect character transfers to resume on Friday, and we will have more information on timing in the morning hours Eastern time."

Today i finally see the transfer button, ill let you know after i log in with Beornagar
-
When you hit transfer button and get an hourglass check bottom left for Lotro points if you see them, good, hold fire and be patient. If you dont close window and hit transfer again until you do. Then be patient
-
Thanks for the updates!
Transfer button has shown up for me. Can't see any LOTRO points when the hourglass shows up though. I'll keep trying every now and then.
Edit:
Furthest I've gotten so far is Step 1 "Select World" where no worlds show up.
-
Keep opening and closing the transfer box, it did that to me yesterday, finally saw a server list this morning - started transferring my rando characters (not on Laurelin) to Orcrist (22 char slots helps).
-
Tried after midnight just now and it finally worked. Transfer request is being processed.
-
mine went through over 48 hours ago and stillno email confirmation;)
I forgot how awesome it was when MMos create shitshows (plus the whining on the forum is hilarious)
-
kin is established on new server, ok for log ins. Only need to wait for them to open up house purchase on server to regain kin house etc

Mine are all coming thru, going to log in in a while and check its all worked.
Then go through any remaining servers and send them to Orcrist too (except my chap on Mordor as its 64bits anyhoo).
-
Apparently there has been 1000000 character transfers so far.
And I am sure most of them went to Orcrist! Or all got their email today!
-

Still hilarious. This is how they are "sorting" housing
"**Housing opens on our new 64-bit worlds on Monday March 31st!**
We're excited to announce the phased opening of Premium and Free Housing in The Lord of the Rings Online starting Monday, March 31st!

Orcrist: 12:10 PM Eastern (-4 GMT)
**US Servers:**
Glamdring: 6:00 PM Eastern (-4 GMT)
Peregrin: 6:10 PM Eastern (-4 GMT)
**The rollout schedule is as follows:**

Tuesday, 4/1: Eastfold / Erebor
Wednesday, 4/2: Kingstead / Lyndelby

Friday, 4/4: Shire / Thorin’s Hall
Please note this schedule is tentative and subject to change as we assess the launch of Belfalas housing on Monday, March 31st.
**ADDITIONAL NOTES:**
- To make housing access even more convenient, we’ll be adding extra housing brokers for each neighborhood at all starting area stable-masters (Michel Delving, Celondim, Thorin's Hall, Mossward, and Combe).
- Please note: Housing can only be purchased through the housing brokers. The “For Sale” signs will not be available at this time. We encourage you to take advantage of these extra brokers to secure your home more easily!
- All available neighborhoods within a specific Housing region will be open at the same time."

Kinhouse purchased Brumbel neighbourhood, Belfalas, 5 Bay Road
-
Crafting area set up on lawn just outside front door of kin house, and some decorations placed inside, i'm sure i've lost some housing shit during transfer
-
I picked up 6 Bay Road.
