Title: T3 Scenario XP?
Post by: Mangala on September 30, 2008, 08:09:03 PM
Do T3 scenarios give alot more natural just for taking part XP than T2?

I did about 7 TA's earlier and made half of my R20 from them. Didnt have any of the RVR quests for them - you know the one for taking part and the one for repeat kills (assuming it has them).

I ask as I barely scratched the 25% of R19 by doing about 20 MT's earlier in the day and handing the two quests in repeatedly...

a) they do seem to give slightly better XP - the in scenario kills are worth more as the players are a higher level and thus more valuable.
b) it does depend if you win/lose though - as with all scenarios
c) Tor Anroc does have quest givers - at the Elf warcamp.

Unless it has changed a lot from beta, you get more exp killing higher rank and higher renown-rank characters. Thus, if you at rank 19 did T2 scenarios, you probably took part in whacking toons in average below your rank and rr, while in T3 at 20 you prolly took part in whacking toons way above your rank and rr.

I'm pleased to hear this cause my god has the levelling rate slowed down in the late teens. I guess it'll pick up a little early 20s or so?

The bad news:

Levelling rate doesn't pick up - yes you get more XP, but the levels are further apart and the scenarios don't pop as often (though of course it's all about being on the edge of the wave of players at that level). Tor Anroc is an XP fest, but some of the others aren't. And of course now we can queue from anywhere (a good thing) - we don't automatically get to run to the quest givers after each round (not such a good thing) and miss out on the 4K XP for the repeatables.

The good news:

T3 is incredible fun - players are learning their classes better and are much more challenging; and even PUGs start using strategy. The guild's also got a few people who run together on a regular basis and are learning each other's playstyle ... (or lack of in my case)
