We say the same about CCP. But jesus christ CCP make blizz look pro (CCP have lately broken more stuff on patch days than they have fixed!).

Not only should they have learned to patch by now, but they also do the patching a week earlier on american servers and still manage to break stuff on european side. :D

They did the same last week with the US servers - and also yesterday with their downtime they managed to extend it too.

well the servers have been back up an hour and it seems the login servers are not up to the task lots of ppl stuck at connected only me and val online in synch.

I work at a game related company and its funny to see the player count drift back and forth from game to web site to forums. Its like watching a swarm of locusts that drift en-masse from site to site devouring resources.
First the game is up and then suddenly drops 20k people. 20k people show up at once on the titles web status page and pound it to death. Then the forums are raped and dragged out back and shot. Then the game comes back up and the login server is lynched and set on fire. If you graph the traffic, its fairly predictable.
