Not them.  Pwned Factor - cant even find them on dotlan though.  Ingame it says they are a corp of 18 guys, not sure if they were/are in an alliance as I didnt check that.

Go go eve-kill.net:

http://eve-kill.net/?a=corp_detail&crp_id=80648

lol.

Single corp in no alliance.  from other searches they seem like a VERY new corp, with vet or two thrown in for good measure.

Not sure ops areas for them - although with offices in amarr they seem more like an empire bunch,  basically just warn people to watch themselves in empire hubs/main transit routes.

From what people were saying last night in the alliance fleet they are the scummier end of people like EVE University and Agony. They train pirates and other unsavoury types. Although that said if they blob up they can still be a threat and well based on the aborted fleet op last night they are better equipped than us (frigs and cruisers vs Hacs and BCs)

Equipment has more to do with that people in BC in general are poor and won't risk assets in pvp. If the aggressors are in hacs-bc then we should aim at bc's. They are fairly cheep, everyone should be able to afford them and they are insurable. (if you can't be in a hac that is)

^^

What he said.

Gang up in BC's if people cannot afford T2 ships. A well fc'd and nonstupid group of pilots in bc's can do damn well against quite a variety of ships. They are much versatile than alot of people presume (especially bears who excepting draek and maybe 'cane pilots, tend to shot through the class on the way to BS's), hell you can even fit tackle and ewar to them (draeks work well for this and still dont compromise tank too much now that rigs are super cheap).

I'd second the thing about the alliance's pilots, income and wherewithal to generate it does seem to be an issue, as well as from a near outsider pov on my part that alot of the pilots are 'bears and dont want to risk too much even if they do have isk to throw at pvp on a semi-regular basis.

Anyways about these guys who decced the alliance, any idea on their base of ops, potential reasons for an empire dec etc (ie did chumly set them red etc lol) over and beyond the fact that empire wars can be fun?

Someone said something about them being some sort of "pirate training corp". Dunno tbh. Probably just people wanting some easy kills.

I got that impression too from their EVEO recruitment thread, but tbh most pirate training corps fizzle out with the exception of Singgwaffe (iirc) and veto's academy.

Theyll move on eventually guys, especially if they havent followed you chaps into GW, although the chance to gank missioners...

jesus.

http://beyond-control.net/?a=cc_detail&ctr_id=5&view=recent_activity

Could be missing stuff from over the weekend that evens this out, but did any of the people who lost ships have a clue at all. Did they even know we are at war? Did they know about watching local and NOT going about your usual routine when in this sort of setting?

I hate to say this, but why didnt everyone likely to be affected by this just fuck off to GW and use the blues to blob the enemy to death if they followed, rather than give them stupidly easy kills? I know empire is still a good place to make isk, but to give away such stupid shit to a declared emeny is so far beyond stupid...

If I could get on there I'd slap some heads together and get things done - hell we here know how, we did it sort of succesfully when we got decced at corp level :) I just cannot believe that with all the varying levels of pvp in the alliance, no one is stepping up to try and get this handled.

I know im unable to login and do much more than station whore, but headsmacking at a forum level would get the ball rolling one would hope.

I might login before I go for dinner and see if theres alliance mails on the subject - and send a few...

Seems theres some mails - the ones on procedures from Mkah is great.  But still not an ingame of people stepping up to a plate, its still more of a how to avoid than a how to rape feel to things.

Oh well, they may go away out of boredom - especially if people get out of MH which has been action central lately.

Posted by Sin (alliance CEO) on the directors forum:

Concerning this war: I got another note from their CEO and it confirms whatever I said earlier.
It was a ransom note and he wanted us to pay: Onyx + 100M + 50M for every week this war lasts... I told him in a very political way that he can kiss his ass (an when I say political I didn't mean it sarcastic... it really was political).

We are not going to pay a ransom and certainly not something like that. I told him to be an honourable man and keep his word to end this war, but I think he already showed us that he isn't. So there are only 2 options for us left... we go silent and sit and do nothing (bore them to death) or go kill em as one front. Since the last one serves our purpose more (create unity and learn how to PVP) I vote for the latter. So let's kill them.

For all of you: please go and instruct your people... and also for me, since the most useless deaths seem to come from my corp. However I ask everybody to instruct your people how we fight a war and that we only do it on our terms. Let nobody engage an enemy unless they are a 100% sure (eyes all around) that we can win that fight!

Good luck all and lets kick some butt!

tldr; War will last a bit longer, so basically it's all hands on deck PvP wise. I hope you will all join in :)
I myself will be away to France this weekend, but will join ranks again from Monday onwards.

Happy hunting!

To: Racnim Sinedia,

After 7 days strait of some of the most hard core station spinning I have ever seen, out of no where your pilots put together a rather successful bait and gank, 1 hour before the war ended. They scored a 200M ISK kill flown by this corporations director.

Believe what you want it is of no consequence to me. The price of the Onyx is minimum payment, I will wave the extra 100M ISK at this time. However if this goes on too long the ransom as stated in that EVE mail will stand as it is.

…I don’t run scams and I don’t “need” your ISK. This however is a PVP training corp -- if anything this wardec is teaching them how to become tried and true mercenaries. This is how the game is played, and this is life in EVE. So keeping this wardec active serves my purpose, does it server yours?

P.S.

Maybe this is a misunderstanding, but bottom line they simply hit the wrong target at the wrong time. Captain Mastiff is an alt of one of the higher level members of the Cry Havoc alliance. If you haven’t heard of them look them up. My main I am not about to name… so do what you want, it is all the same by me.

As of right now we will be renewing again.

I'm shaking... I'm so shaking haha
Sure cry havoc will come to their aid :) Just shows how pathetic they are in my opinion.

If that guy has his main high up in cry-havoc, so be it.
Losing a Onyx to a bunch of carebears in a highsec war won't exactly be something he will brag or whine about.

Yup.
Losing ships to a fight isn't unheard of, especially if someone is in a "pvp alliance" with his main.

PWNED Factor Retracts War Against Beyond-Control
From:  CONCORD
Sent: 2010.03.16 03:21

The war between PWNED Factor and Beyond-Control is coming to an end. PWNED Factor has retracted the war against Beyond-Control. The war will be declared as being over after approximately 24 hours.

So much for keeping the war running for a year :)
Almost sad in a way, had hoped to try to counter they cheesy neutral repping thing with a proper RRBS fleet and support.

Difficult to tell, the BC killboard doesn't work properly with values.
But probably not, about equal in battlecruiser value (4:4).
However they have killed 4 battleships and one cov-ops to our onyx, also a few minor ships.
So we are probably behind by 100m or so.

Some of the costlier losses - not by maadi members I proudly add - where stupid losses (pve fits with the victims seemingly going about their day to day...) that could have been easily avoided.

Maadi itself is ahead on costs for the war though, with our losses not being that much compared to the kills our members where involved in.

Was my fault really :/
Anyway, first rule of pvp "never fire on the drake". You can easily get a 70k ehp tank on that thing without sacrificing much dps. Canes are better targets as they have much weaker tanks.

Well engaging in the first place hasnt been the brightest thing to do (outgunned and no FC on the spot), but there... it was done -> learning experience

The only thing that might have saved you was seeing you were going down, disengage (stop all aggression towards the other party) and make to the gate. If you would have been lucky you would have been able to jump as soon as the aggression timer ended (60 seconds iirc). But I doubt you lasted this long  :(

jag would've been a nice target too, but again, because there was no FC and noone on-site took lead, I doubt a single target got primaried and you were all shooting different targets :S

jag was bad target - minnie t2 are pretty good for em resists.

drake was a very bad idea due to huge potential tank.

trying to deagress as warcold suggests would probably have been best course of action.
