Title: Recurring mining op (high sec)
Post by: peo on January 02, 2010, 08:28:32 AM
There were some questions a week or so back about having corp mining ops.
So I thought I'd ask here if there is any interest?

edit:
There was interest and seemed to be interest to making this happen more often.
So we will start having them on Sundays, start time 18 eve.

Any co-op has my interest. Although for mining my task will be limited to hauling or anti-canflipper-duty.

Perhaps I should activate my account(s) so I could join this too? Might as well continue the skill-training for a while again, and there is nothing more to zen than to listen to mining-lasers humming early in the morning when the rest of the family is still sleeping.

As for a sensible could I do this - i'd remember where Thera's orca is and boost :)  So have it before I go on my trip.

Lets say 20 evetime on sunday for the mining then?? One system somewhere in derelik close to a station so we don't have to haul oodles of ore long.

Due to hulkageddon I'm thinking we should either mine in mission space or a grav site.

Was cool to see so many corp-members in same place at the same time. It felt... powerful :)  I know I know, lots of alts and dualboxing going on, but still :)

Too bad I had to log off so soon, but I had to get up early for work today. Hope you did show those rocks who is the top dog in the neighbourhood ;)

Operation stopped at 22 evetime iirc.
In total we got about 1.3m m3 of ore worth slightly below 100m at corp prices (I will pay out the amount to people, unless anyone complains one payout per person and not per toon)

AFAIK the people in the op was:
Swuul/Swulina
Hrod/Linnea
Brian/Cmaxx
Melissan
Aerie
Temon/Lonad
Eiwen Dehn

Who else was there mining/hauling/boosting?

That was everyone - that I could see in chat anyways :)

Was an excellent turnout guys - good to see so many people there for something. Bodes well for my away time. And Mac and Swuul and Dehn being back more regularly is awesome too :)

With the war on with PWNED-thingummy, do we go ahead with our regular mining op, or take a hiatus?

Not that im arround much at present anyway, but i think with the war on maybe give it a miss for a weel or two until we can see how and where these people are operating.

Ok, I've canceled the op for tonight. We need to know more about them before we risk a mining fleet.

Ok, lets restart this again.

This time lets try having it in the f5-cgw system in null-sec, the system itself doesn't have super ores but to test and build experience in mining in null-sec it is good.

I will jump in everything with the rorq and we can use the clone vat bay to jumpclone there.
So to get this to work everyone that intends to join needs to have a free JC slot and get their ship to bimener where we can load the rorq.

So unless you already have it train infomorphpsychology to 1 (or more).

Just to clarify :)
You don't need to have a jumpclone, just a free slot for one :) Meaning no demand for standings.

The ores in f5 isn't super but it is to a large extent a practice run to see how it works. I've found one grav site with abcm ores (small not warped to it) which possibly is still there on sunday will probe again on sunday if I have time.

Sadly we were a bit to few to make this worthwhile :(
Was there and mined for a while got some ore, 200k or so, but including the cost of transport it isn't worthwhile to do without a significantly larger fleet.
