explain what these are? do they get tagged to your chars etc? another 25% before Im in you see.

Whatever your display name is on teh forums (if you've picked one) is tied to your game account.

So, when typing in chat, its displayed as:

Toonname@Displayname

Its how they allowed the non-unique naming policy, and a way to see who is where on what toon.
