Special offer on Steam right now. Combine this with the 21 day trial offered on Steam and you get 51 days playtime for less than a starbucks coffee costs.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/8500/
The cheap price is only valid until the 17th August.
Either way its handy for that alt youve been mulling over, or if a buddy is holding out on giving the game a go. (and the 21days does remain after you upgrade, as I just got another account while testing it. Just when I had gotten my accounts down to a manageable level.)
(I know ive posted this in my Steam Deals thread, but it deserves some attention in EVE General).

Meh, can't afford a thrid account yet

I crossposted on SHC and a chap there also suggested to pair this with the buddy program. Basically send 21day buddy key out, get mate to upgrade with steam offer, get 30 days free on whichever account sent him the buddy key :)

Shame its a short lived offer too.

Quoting from EVEO:
Confirming that the Buddy Program works for Steam accounts. Rough directions:
1) Send a buddy invite to your email address from your main.
2) Open the link provided to create a 21-day buddy trial account.
3) Open Steam, go into the store, buy EVE for $5
4) After the checkout process is completed go to the games list, right click EVE online in the uninstalled games, and click install
5) Click through the stuff that says stuff like "3000 GB needed, 5600 GB available"
6) After clicking "next" enough times you'll get a page that offers you a button to go to the EVE online site to create an EVE account - click the button
7) After your browser opens you'll see that there are two options - either create a new account or apply the Steam credit to a trial account (i.e. NOT a paid account). Click the use existing trial account link.
8) Log in with your 21-day trial buddy account.
9) Profit.
Shame I didnt know for sure before I did it all through Steam, would have got myself free 30 days :)
