Title: Missing bpos for carriers
Post by: peo on June 20, 2009, 07:38:13 PM
AFAIK all carriers use the same parts but the amounts vary, for the chimera the following bpos are the ones we lack (amount for each chimera (with a me2 bp) in brackets):

Capital Armor Plates [4]
Capital Capacitor Battery [6]
Capital Computer System [10]
Capital Corporate Hangar Bay [10]
Capital Jump Drive [10]
Capital Power Generator [4]
Capital Propulsion Engine [4]
Capital Sensor Cluster [10]
Capital Shield Emitter [10]
Capital Ship Maintenance Bay [10]

Of these I would prioritize things that are used for all dreads as well first when getting a bpo as it is killing two birds with one stone kind of deal.

I would expect us to have to get unresearched ones at some point but would probably be best to get researched first.

Did a quick search there are
4 power generators for sale, 1.3bn starting
2 propulsion engines, 1.29bn starting (the one at 1.3 starting has a me of 70)
1 shield emitter 1.23 me 100

Theres also capital modules to think about. Build afew sell in target stations with carriers for a markup.

Shield Boosters (We own this one already).
Shield Transfers
Energy Transfers
Drone Control Units
Triage Module

Mainly the above for a Chimera.

Kasei is now copying a capital armor plates BPO and a capital shield emitters BPO.

I stupid supply of parts bpcs could be better:

http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1101043

The guy is effectively looking for half price per run. (Average for parts bpc is 5mill or so, so 1mill per run...)

And still over time source BPOs?

Basically while we do eventually want to own lots of originals, we are currently using copies of those we dont own. Paying 5mill isk on average for every 5 run BPC we purchase for component parts.

The guy in my link is offering 863 runs (Roughly 170 5 run bpcs) capital component bpc's for half of what the market suggests they cost - saving us money in the long run while we build up our corp holdings and profitability.

hold on, its 863 runs, not 863 BPCs like he is saying
he says 863 BPCs, but later he says "[price] per run" (863*.5 ~ 430)
Adding the runs in his first post comes down to 863, so its about 170 BPCs

edit faster  :D

well sounds good anyhow, getting BPs to that ME will take us some time, so it might save us some mins / gives us time to research our own BPOs

Sure sounds like a good enough deal.
BPC's we dont use for some reason or have bpo for we could always sell (at the 5m mark ;) ) and recoup some costs.

Would there be any issue with the corp going 50% of the cost of these bpc's with me? (Basically giving me 215million?)

I'd just prefer if the corp felt less beholden to me (more so after my massive weekend expenditures!), than I am sure you folks do right now.

No problem what so ever in my opinion.

Might as well let corp pay for it all?

I shall source one or two of these this week - any preferences? (Id say ones that we can use on a multitude of cap type ships?)

I'd say jumpdrive (or perhaps propulsion since that would mean we can build freighters).

Saf the necro, all obey me, blahblah

But I've looked at this again. Market price for (raw) BPOs for Cap Engine BPO is 1,128,565,800.00
This means that using 1 lab slot for about a month (or 1.5?, 2?) you earn roughly 250M (minus tax).
That's more than hogging cap part copies for that time though, or isnt it? What is the tax on contracts again?
