Title: Postponing the 1st Quarter Dividend?
Post by: Mangala on June 19, 2009, 02:21:27 PM
The long and the short of it is, the corp has only really started being profitable since around the 22/05/09, prior to this point we were spending more than we made, and we had less people active than we currently do.  So any dividend we could do would be a small one indeed.

The dividend I wanted to make was to only come from profits made from sales on the market, so I havent counted for ratting income or player donations.  Suffice to say turning the corner and making profit of some description is a great thing, and can only bode well for the future.

The initial offering raised: 3,680,000,000.00.  Of which 2,300,000,000.00 was used to purchase the Capital Drone Bay Blueprint & the Chimera Blueprint, and the rest being used for towers and general corp upkeep during the time alot of us went riding bikes ;)

Our income from 22/05 from market sales totalled: 502,381,985.32 ISK.

Our purchases during the same period (tower fuel, skill books, bpcs etc) totalled: 257,335,255.32

Our profit on these was therefore: 245,046,730.00

So I ask you, our shareholders and corpmembers, do you want me to do a dividend (%age as yet unknown, but small :S), or are you willing for this dividend to be rolled into the dividend for the next quarter, which will be in September, and all things considered will be after a period of increasingly positive market activity as our caps are about to start rolling off the line.

A forum poll is my choice for this as Mangala alone could easily skew an ingame vote in any direction I choose :)

A minimum total dividend of 250million isk will be in place.

Forgot i'd put that in :)  Amended now to remove that and state specifically where profits would come from.  (As I said in the offering thread, this is my first so its a learning experience for me too).

I would have reinvested the dividend anyway as the corp needs cash more than me.
So a yes from me.

I'm happy if you hold the dividend for now til we're clearly in profit for a couple of quarters or more.

Locking topic, dividend is postponed.

I am hoping to be able to offer an increased dividend in the next quarter.
