To follow up on Mang's antifrig boat, I thought I'd make a boat sturdy, with fast tracking.
I came up with a BC (hurri in my case) with lots of armor, resists, tackle and fast guns.
It's slow and the dps isnt amazing, but it will hold its own, even vs multiple frig sized foes.
The thing I struggled with though, is the guns. I couldnt really decide between small autocannons, small artillery or medium autocannons. In the end I chose medium ACs, but I'm afraid it's tracking will not really do the trick, even against webbed targets.
Some stats:
180mm (M) AC: 0.21 rad/sec ~ 1/30 circle/sec
280mm (S) artie: 0.10 rad/sec ~ 1/60 circle/sec
200mm (S) AC: 0.49 rad/sec ~ 1/12 circle/sec
circle: 2*pi*r
orbit@500 ~ 3000m / circle
orbit@500@500m/s ~ 1/6 circle/sec
if you can follow my dull numbers, you see that even when slowed 55% (webber), it's pretty easy to elude almost all guns.

yeah, or if ganged with my possible arbi setups, you can change out for more dps and let me TD the targets ;)

well, at least my webbing them will make your medium drones more usefull against frigs
hmm, and what i forgot was that if i am flying in a straight line, they cant orbit me that fast anyway...
bigger guns not really possible as the armorplates take too much power...
will toy around some more
(hmm, your tracking disrupt and nos with my web -> 4 heavy drones on your boat?)

Think so on the heavies, but they have bad tracking v frigs themselves :S

tracking of 0.36 on ogreII, not so bad, esp when they are webbed. but would suck for fast dam, as it will take em ages to get there, so maybe not such a good idea.
was thinking about adding more dps: would downgrade my resists, which kinda sucks. swapping in one gyro II would add about 40 dps, not bad, but not so sure
frigs and desses drop after about 1000 dam, so would kill em in <10 secs as it is
but if we would meet (assault)cruisers it would be another story :\
