rediscovered Mechwarrior Mercenaries this morning   8)
released in 2002, but still cool game. Too bad they stopped making sequels after MW 4, Black Knight and Mercenaries (2000, 2001 and 2002)

Nice find!  Not a huge mech fan, but there is something about giant killer battle suits that captures the imagination.

I was a big mechwarrior fan till I realised everyone elses idea of fun was to pick a mech with jump jets load it up with long range weapons and hide behind a hill only jumping up to snipe people. That got old really fast. Still even the single player version of mercs was fun.
