The A-Team
« on: July 29, 2010, 08:40:31 AM »
Anyone seen this yet?

Went to a late showing last night, and went with very low expectations, as tbh, I thought it would be crap (only because I have nostalgic memories of the TV show).

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Went with my bro, who loved the original, and my younger bro-in-law who'd never seen the original. Both enjoyed it also. A great little action romp, with the added bonus of nicely fleshed out characters too.

Oh, and stay to the end of the credits. ;)

This

seriously went with low expectations, ans must say it was better than i could have imagined and funny to boot. Murdoch is awesome. A few OTT moments but this is A-Team.
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

hate to disagree but i thought it was pants, yes its a little action movie but almost by saying that i think you are as good as saying it is average to poor. the plot is contrived and is little more than a set up / explanation for a franchise. Not one of the actors does anything other than a pale imitation of the originals adding nothing new to the roles.

Dont get me wrong its not the worst film in the world but its not worth a cinema visit and if you want some harmless action movie fun involving BA hannibal and the rest i recommend turning bravo on and watching the original.

3 out of 10.

Im an evil pirate.

Downloaded this and not a cam copy either. An out and out rip of the gold disc that cinemas get!

Its ok, as Elv says, good action movie.  But as an A-team movie, im not sure I buy it.  Although I do the think the guy playing murdoch and the one doing face are pretty good.
