Stanislaus Szymczak - Human or Miraluka Jedi Consular (main)
Any chance I could get that spelled phonetically?
It's my grandfather's name. Nazis pulled him out of Poland to work in the Dutch mines. When they were liberated, he chose to stay and boink my grandmother. Sadly neither is around anymore.
I have no idea how to express phoneticallicismiality.
Stanislaus is (stan is lows {as in lowsy without the y}).
Although others pronounce it as they would Stanislav. I have no idea. Even my grandmother called him Stefan, because she found his name to be too complicated. That's why Stefan is also my single middle name. Shame, Stanislaus would have been a tad awesomer.
Szymczak is (sheem shak {as in scheme without the c | the a in ak is the aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa sound you make at the doctor's) as far as my family is concerned. Might be different pronunciations.
Dude worked in the mines and hated being covered in soot. The entire work crew always had to wait for him to get out of the shower when they were all already in the truck ready to go home. He hoovered the house 6 hours a day (two new hoovers a year and a very happy carpet store!), showered for an hour. Worked in his vegetable garden where I spent some time as well and the dog peed on the vegetables. Rolled his own cigarettes and almost died smoking the strong ones I made him as a kid. Spoke a funky mix of Polish, German and Dutch. And in the end had a toe and lower leg amputated due to necrosis, was rather immobile and miserable for a few months during the whole process and died shitty due to numerous severe heart attacks within a span of two days. Mom was messed up for months after being at his bedside for all of them.
So if it helps, call him Stefan like the rest of us did.
