Long term visions of the alliance future
« on: August 05, 2009, 04:50:19 PM »
I just thought it good if we can get an idea here what our members have for kind of vision for the alliance future?

Myself I see real independent sov holding as the end goal.

edit:
To clarify, I think that mangala is correct in thinking that the alliance has to move to npc space to get good and be able to take space somewhere.
Mangala says syndicate is the right place to go, I have no idea. Either that or Great wildlands seems the right area.

The problem is economy, we need to be able to support a long campaign there.

do you believe everything what you read? :ugeek:

maybe it´s true maybe not, you´ll know the truth when it´s time for the truth.

With attitudes like that, I hope its a short bloody future.  Top down leadership and germans dont mix.

Being serious, Hrod has echoed my comments already.  While being a "pet" or junior ally of Pl in their space is all well and good, it doesnt make for a strong alliance, as the alliance KB shows, small gangs regularly punish our fellows.  And those small gangs have been through the crucible of NPC space.

Even more important is that the alliance lead FC's think that the counter to small gangs of cov ops cloaked ships is a blob of long range battleships and when it doesn't work they lash out at the tacklers doing their best to decloak and tackle.

Anyway, should I reopen the issue of alliance long term plans in the alliance forum?
Maybe I should rephrase it to be "long term vision" because it just can't be secret if our plans are "stay PL pet" or "get our own space".
Heck it is at least 6 months until we should try to get our own 0.0 space anyway, no point in doing it before the sov overhaul.
I just can't understand why that should be secret.

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)
