Wormhole duo battleships
« on: September 27, 2009, 08:09:32 AM »
Has been thinking to try out wormholes more, seems a lot more fun than missions and fairly profitable.
Soloing seems a bit hard so thinking mostly about using hrod/linnea in two battleships. I've come up with the following fits which seem ok. Any thoughts?

[Raven, wh]
Damage Control II
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II

Large Shield Extender II
Large Shield Extender II
Invulnerability Field II
Invulnerability Field II
Peripheral Weapon Navigation Diameter
Heavy F-RX Prototype I Capacitor Boost, Cap Booster 800

'Limos' Cruise Launcher I, Devastator Cruise Missile
'Limos' Cruise Launcher I, Devastator Cruise Missile
'Limos' Cruise Launcher I, Devastator Cruise Missile
'Limos' Cruise Launcher I, Devastator Cruise Missile

'Limos' Cruise Launcher I, Devastator Cruise Missile
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter
Salvager I

Core Defence Field Extender I
Warhead Flare Catalyst I
Warhead Rigor Catalyst I

124 passive recharge, 358 with a shield transporter on it. 96k ehp and about 134 dps (sucks but well)

[Tempest, wh]
Power Diagnostic System II
Damage Control II
Power Diagnostic System II
Power Diagnostic System II
Gyrostabilizer II
Gyrostabilizer II

Invulnerability Field II
Large Shield Extender II

Heavy F-RX Prototype I Capacitor Boost, Cap Booster 800

800mm Heavy 'Scout' Repeating Artillery I, Phased Plasma L

[empty high slot]  (will be a core probe launcher)
Large S95a Partial Shield Transporter

Core Defence Field Extender I
Core Defence Field Extender I
Capacitor Control Circuit I

96 passive recharge (330 with a transporter), 306 dps, 96k ehp.

Both have 3 min cap using the transporter and are "stable" with the cap booster.

my thoughts are that relying on cap boosters inside WH isnt a great idea, as they not only take up lots of space in cargo for charges (iirc 2k missiles and 34 charges (800s) is all a Raven can hold or thereabouts) so youd rely on using charges to make space for loots, not the most efficient.

You can probably get a better passive tank from a Drake over a Raven and no need for charges, im sure damage wise a drake could beat your numbers too, but that could be as your using cruise, whats the numbers with heavies?

also realised you have no codebreaker or analyzer on your ships so how would you manage those sites as they generally have better returns than the salvage ones.

Impossible to fit, can't ditch any mids for that regardless as the sleepers eat your up then.

Heavies have a far lower dps than cruises. Dps on the raven is mostly dependant on low skills on linnea still.

Cap booster is needed if your run shield transporters.

I can bring a drake, once I get it built.
Not taking a BS in there yet tbh

Been toying around the ideas so far.
Basically when using remote rep there should be 3+ ships, since then you can get 2+ reps on one ship.

Anyway I found one tidbit that might be interesting, the sleeper lasers (or whatever they are) shoot 40km so staying outside of that reduces damage significantly. I haven't tested this yet but if that is so you should be able to kite them using a mwd perhaps. This given you have enough tank to handle the small stuff but a decently geared bs should have no problem with that.
