patcher should still be up even if the servers are down.

Well, I say fixed, I've just had a CTD and the issue has reoccured.

its something to do with connecting to war-europe or something there are 2 ip addresses and ones down try second page beta forum titled with your problem

and someone has now posted a better explanation than my ramblings

I'm in!

Reboot fixed it.

Beta servers will close within two hours of posting. Register your head start and bonus items starting 1 am CET and start playing head start with characters you'll keep in live game Sunday afternoon.

Bah, don't have headstart

Looks like I'll have to buy it retail and join you guys in a week or so. Shame really, you'll miss out on all my uber closed beta knowledge

Hey Ho Chaps,

I've been so involed in Warhammer 40K, I've been blissfully unaware of your awesome WAR coverage!

I've been in the Closed Beta (or rather, Beta Wot is Closed) a while now, and the changes that have occured since open beta do indeed rock.

Whats the current server status? Can I still log in with my beta account, or has it switched to early access? I was only online the other day.

Well, I'm buggered if I can get Lotro to work on Vista.

I'm now getting the dreaded Error [201] message. As far as I can see, my permissions are set ok. Could be that I have UAC turned off.

Other than that, looks like a re-install is on the cards...

Right, I've finally found my game DVD (at my bro's), and am re-installing.

Any of you guys know whether I can copy over my old game directory into my new one to benfit from all the updates?

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd put a post up detailing my absence from Lotro over the last few months.

I've been swamped by RL issues, work and a new PC that I'm still ironing the kinks out of. Plus, THF WoWside went through a bit of a management crisis, so I found myself flung back into officer stuff there. Been playing WoW a bit to, as the new content with patch 2.4 is pretty fun. Also, Mario Kart Wii just keeps begging me to be played...

Anyway, sorry for not being around, and leaving it so late in letting you know. I'll be re-installing Lotro at some point this week, so keep an eye out for me.
