X-Com: Enemy Unknown
« on: January 16, 2012, 11:25:02 AM »
As you know it was recently revealed that as well as the X-Com shooter in development by 2K that Firaxis were working on a "true to roots" reboot of the strategy title.

Game informer are posting info as they receive it

http://www.gameinformer.com/p/xcom.aspx

I personally will keep an eye on this one i love X-Com titles and only fix in recent years of this type has been the UFO titles.
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

How come I have a whole different memory of how this game was going to work?
I remember more of a FPS kinda game and just shoot the aliens - which had me disappointed on how they mangled the original gameplay. What game am I confused with?

2 different games mate. There is a FPS x-com game coming also although it is in production hell, and may not be out until 2014 if it can survive.
