« on: September 24, 2008, 12:16:42 PM »
Well, I figured it was about time our forum got one of these :D

Post piccies of your 40K armies here, or simply chat about what you like collecting/what your going to collect next and other stuff.

I'll start with a couple of shots of my current project, my Dark Angels:

Yeah... all my minis are unpainted and at my parents' house still.

As per a different thread: nice paint job!

I have a fully painted Necron army and currently working on a hefy Tau force. Played my first Apocalypse game at the weekend with 4 mates, good larf. Used to play WHFB too but cash flow issues, lack of time and to be honest brain space trying to remember different rule sets I jacked it in in favour of 40k. Plus I know more folk that play that. Also dabble in GW's Lord of the Rings Game too. Have a fully realised Helms Deep model I made for it.

Will upload pics if someone can guide me on how/hosting site etc?

i use http://www.webshots.com/ to host my piccies then all i do is use the use the codes supplied to post onto the forums

any other photo host would do, i like webshots for my photography as they give space for 1000 images on signup and a further 100 every month your a member and its free.
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

Just thought I'd revive this thread somehwhat.

Played in a local Tournie at the weekend and came 4th, so not too shabby. However, I went on to win best painted, so pretty chuffed.

I'm planning on doing some completed army pics at some point, so will get them posted up when I get chance.

As promised, here we are.

After breaking my back to get these boys finished for the weekend, I finally managed to get my 1500 point DA army complete. Amazingly, this is my first ever fully painted 40K army in nearly 13 years! The shame of it...   :-[

Anyway, here are the pics. I won best painted for these guys, so I'm pretty chuffed. I scored a few opposing players 10/10 for their painting, so competition was fierce. :D

The Army:

Deathwing:

Interrogator Chaplain Asmodai and Veteran Squad:

Tactical Squads:

Ravenwing (These guys aren't quite finished):

Rhinos:

And finally, Objective Markers:

Let me know what you guys think. C&C is always welcome.

Cheers,

Kurtt

Wow that is simply amazing mate.  Awesome work - can see the time it took in the work itself.

I do like Deathwing as my favourite of the whole thing.

My first thought on seeing the two Rhinos was that the second one is engaging a cloaking device.

Potentially a silly question, but is the grass green out of the packet?
