Next few months. Rough outline of what I'll be doing in-game.
« on: December 14, 2008, 06:58:04 PM »
So where do I want to go in-game over the coming months, with my characters and of course you guys :)

Mangala Solaris

Will be setting up a new corp for the sole intention of a hisec research POS.  (My next post/topic will cover this). Will then rejoin Ma'adim and continue on in that vein with the possibility of a lowsec POS for Alchemy, which as Vac has pointed out can make the corp rich, once you get over its logisitical hump and security obviously. (The involved reactions cannot take place in Hisec at POS's there) or I'll also sort that via the alt research corp.  An Alliance will be forthcoming to allow MAADI members access to the pos, unless we go the research alt route for that (Again see post/topic).

As for her skills, she'll continue to follow a long term combat plan I have going - she is quite capable for solo stuff and small gang, so should we get 'dec'd or go lowsec and shooty shooty, then she is quite able to give as good as we would get. Currently she can fly a mean Eagle or Rokh fitted for long range or close up with a variety of AF's for super close stuff!

Thera Andromanche

Racing towards an Orca this will give her a support role on mining operations. Further skilling will provide her with more operational support skills in the form of being able to utilise gang modules and the like, increasing laser range, yield etc etc  Following this,Jump Freighter skills are in the offing and/or a Rorqual for any lowsec work.  In between all this, I'll be contantly improving her refine skills and via Ganged missions with Mangala her standings with various corporations to get refine taxes reduced to as low as possible.

Elan Varth

A little used Amarr character of mine. Just grabbed him again on the 5 free days offer they did for expired accounts.  Been mulling over what to do with him, and I think I am going to move him to flying Recons (Caldari & Amarr) with a subset in logistics ships. Remote repping for the win!

Angaraka Solaris

Furthering his progress into being a combat fleet booster.  He uses Amarr battlecruisers, so will end up flying both the Damnation & the Absolution in support of us in any sort of combat operations we need to undertake - he can already provide several boosts through skills, and I am working on the skills for the actual gang modules.

Feel free to outline your current aims and such ingame chaps.

Do missions for Caldari Navy agents, so that can have a jump-clone in their base.

1st goal: Harpy Assault Frigate. Will have the skills (and the ship) at around January 1st. After that I'll improve skills to be able to nuke things down from 50+ km, even with Lead-shots :)

2nd goal: Heavy Assault Cruiser. This I'll have around April I think, altough I'd be able to fly one way earlier. However I want to have proper skills to take real advantage of its strength. Along the way I'll also improve my mining skills a bit so that I can use a mining-cruiser if/when needed by the Corp.

Constantine Andromanche

Will continue his schizophrenic training regime, curent aims are to a) max production skills (almost there), b)focus on standing with the Caldari reserach corps (Lai Dai will be my main focus for next few weeks), c) continue training said skills for whatever r&d agents running (can run 4 at mo will work on maxing that out) d)switching my mission skills to gunnery as missile aint half a sgood a sthey used to be. most importantly e) HAVING FUN :D

As a side note i do currently need Caldari, Amarr, Gallente and Minmatar encryption techniques if any you guys have enough LPs to buy these :)

Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

Continue down the dual road of improving gunnery skills whilst working towards an Eagle HAS. (and fitting in maxing salvage skills and related subskills)

Chalcocite
Working towards a Hulk by January then Drone then Deep Core mining & Processing.

Aicha Cephei
Currently working on standing with Lai Dai, for jump clone access and refinery rates
Should be in a retreiver by christmas, and a hulk by the end of january.
After that she'll probably focus on some combat skills, then refining.

She may get a little brother/sister to fly a second hulk next to her, once I'm sure I can pay for the bugger with ISKs every month. ;)

A first rough outline for the coming weeks will be to get all my advanced learning skills to lvl 3, and all relevant primary skills (electronics, engineering, mechanics and social) and battlecruiser to lvl 4. Without other skills this will take till january 2nd.
But of course I got lots of other skills that need to be trained to become a nice combat pilot.

I will spec out where I really want to go later, cause I just woke up and my thinker doesnt work properly yet.

Does your 'friend' build:

- Carriers [Caldari]
- Motherships [Caldari]
- Rorqual

?

TYR RAK

Paladin marauder for serious missioning then push exploration skills to max to start looking for those wormholes in march.  After those I may round out my gunnery / drones / armor tank skills to elite.

LANNEE ENNOX

Work on T2 manufacturing and trading skills.

I will spec out where I really want to go later, cause I just woke up and my thinker doesnt work properly yet.

Ok, I came to the conclusion that a longer term plan is also quite plain: I want to master my BC.

Which means I want to get my standard Core Compentency certificate, standard Cruiser Proj Turret certificate and still have to decide on where to go concerning tanking. Atm, I am active shield tanked, someone in forum recommended passive shield tanking for Hurricane and the game itself recommends armor tanking...
All in all I guess this will take me some extra month(s).

On some side notes, I may train to Minmatar Indy 4, which will let me fly a mammoth -> usefull in mining ops.
I am doubting to train for tech 2 artillery, which will take more time, but the 55km range on the Tremor ammo appeals to me  :D

An alternative plan would be to go for the Muninn (HAC), which will take me along more or less the same route.

Updated my post with another 2 of my characters.

Jeremiah, an alliance would work for us all I think (increases wardec costs for anyone who wants to give it a chuck in Empire) :)
