Not sure if anyone has seen this.

Pretty interesting stuff (and impressive IMO) Cloud based gaming does seem to be the future. Especially if broadband providers (even the UK based ones!) can start upping the bandwidth to decent levels. As this Tech Demo shows, you can run most things with a 1MB connection though, although it is Windowed.

Benefits are, no buying the media (although it is nice to have a shiny box sometimes), no patching and you can play it on any machine, including the potential for these Netbooks.

Would suit me then.  Ive got a lappy, a netbook and my desktop rigs now, but barely use the netbook unless I need internet while dual screening eve in pvp.

The idea of cloud gaming/streaming gaming really appeals to me, and im a freak for box games especially special editions.

Can anyone explain to me how you wouldn't need a nice GFX card anymore with this system?
I can see how playing it remote would remove the need for a good CPU etc, but not this.

And if the games are as choppy on a 1Mb connection as the little vid is, then nm  :-\

The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'
