I went for the geometric patterns that look dwarvish of 7 and 9. Like the brown colour, very unusual.

Not sure on 3- the way the background splits the front symbols is a bit weird

I've seen a few guilds about have recently picked up the ability to display the heraldry on their member's cloaks. Every single one of them has picked the pattern described in pics 2, 6 or 8, which I largely cannot distinguish because they're all so similar. For this reason I'd steer clear of them. Though they do look ace.

9 and 10 look curious - the pattern doesn't really mesh at all. I sort of like 3, but agree that it's a little jarring with the symbols in the foreground.

1 or 3. 3 if it can be made to look better with a different emblem.

I like the blue and white, it will look good on armour once the right shade of blue is available :)

I think brown-yellow will be a more unusual choice and that is why it got my vote.
Surely, this is a field/pattern poll (just like the first was an overall shape poll), not a colour poll. Taken to its logical conclusion (which I have no idea if Beosvir intends, but it sounds good, does it not?), this will be followed by a symbol poll and a colour poll - colours being best chosen after all the shapes have been finalized. :)

I'm thinking this will be less of an issue if we go for a single larger figure in the foreground, which I'm assuming we will - most of the heraldry available is one large item instead of multiple smaller figures iirc.

There will be 2 other polls as Peter has rightly surmised.  Colour & Emblem - I'll be examining the selections over the next day or so and going from there :)

Has anyone noticed that 1 and 4 are the same patterns?
'Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime, and every kindness, we birth our future.'

'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.
The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'

Uhm, I didnt and I created them...

Game needs to be up now! So i can get the correct ones again (Cant see them in my screenies file...)

(I'll most likely reset this poll and add a day or two extra to it to rectify this situation)

Same pattern but different shape - I was under the impression that it was the token option presenting a last ditch possibility of choosing another shape than the one the leadership had decided on following the last poll, but it must be admitted that it sounds much more likely to be a mistake. :)

Hi All,
I just wanted people to be aware of the issues of cloak shape and banner shape. I have mentioned this before, but not seen anyone else comment so thought I would point it out again :P

http://www.warhammeralliance.com/forums/showthread.php?t=144306

Basically the bottom of the banner that can be different shapes also is seen in the cloaks, so if you choose an inverted V shape for your banner, your guild cloaks will be cut out at the bottom in an inverted V. Same for the other shapes so think hard about that shape!

I like that idea, its a feature and not a bug (thankfully), as per the last guy in that thread and from spending too much time on the heraldry screen myself.

Having squared off cloaks and the like will even with heraldry still keep a feeling of sameness on the battlefield between characters from differing regiments, whereas in Medieval settings there was considerable differences in uniform (heck even amongst the same regiments at times!).

The inverted V shape would look the best in that situation, the downwards V on the other hand would only look right if it does not lengthen the cloak beyond current limits (ie a dwarf suddenly has a 3rd of his cloak in the floor), and it doesnt seem like it does anyway - the standard stays the same length in the preview imagery.
