Minimum market buy price I have seen across a good few regions is 550million isk :)

So does anyone know if we had to purchase anything for this build? (I know Mang waxed 50mill or so on BPC's but meh that doesnt count as it all helps.) ie Minerals etc?

Think the corp mined all the mats (i.e. purchased off members)

We can probably shift it for 600 selling in Anttiri - the price within a few jumps is > 600

To get a grasp of the magnitude of materials used (and if my minimal efforts at mining are worth anything  :P ), does anybody have an estimate on how much of the different minerals did it take in all to craft the Orca?

I think somebody (Beo?) was putting together a proper list but:

Orca:
Capital Sensor Cluster             4
Capital Capacitor Battery         8
Capital Cargo Bay                   34
Capital Computer System        6
Capital Construction Parts       14
Capital Ship Maintenance Bay  6
Capital Corporate Hangar Bay  4

I have a spreadsheet on my other machine with the mineral values for the above - just need to install Office on this machine to get them.

The following is based on the assumption that the BPC's used to manufacture the components are ME:75.
In reality some have had better ME and some have been worse.

Totals
Mineral Quantity/Ship Market Cost/Ship Corp MPP/Ship
Trit    43,139,074 164,359,871.94 117,338,281.28
Pyerite 6,679,742 26,451,778.32 20,239,618.26
Mexallon    2,371,260    57,147,366.00 41,212,498.80
Isogen    359,640    20,445,534.00 14,961,024.00
Nocxium    102,524 9,657,760.80 7,879,994.64
Zydrine    17,256    35,502,494.40 27,658,089.36
Megacyte    6,564    16,213,080.00 12,865,440.00
Total329,777,885.46 242,154,946.34

I've attached the excel I used for the Orca to the message.  It's Office 2007 format.  If you want the earlier excel format - let me know and I'll add it.

The second Orca will be ready to be started tomorrow (Monday) around noon.  Great work on getting things together to allow us to make another so quickly after the first! :)

Updated my earlier post to show the minerals required to manufacture the components for the ship and included approx costs based on (1) Avg Market Prices & (2) Corp Mineral Purchase Programme [MPP].

The estimates are purely that and don't include any NPC manufacture costs or mineral price changes over time.
As such the accuracy is probably +/- 5-10%.

Thanks Rubino! :)

As I've sold minerals for may 10 million to the corp, it is obvious my contribution hasn't been that excellent. However, now that I can actually fly the Retriever, it will hopefully get better :)  If there just were asteroids to mine... In all of the asteroid fields in Anttiri I found this morning a grand total of two (2) Veldspar asteroids, and I evaporated them in three cycles :(

Need to start running missions and hope I find asteroid fields in them...

So it sold.  602mill and some change. Brokers fees and the like took around 8 mill total.

While it was selling I somehow bought one off the market - miss click for the win. So I sold that right back (at a loss to my pocket) and made us a nice little extra :D

Things are going very well - Noj has been mining overtime bringing in 20m units of trit.
Which means we should have the parts for the construction of the next - as soon as the one that is currently baking finishes.

Orca two - I think - has finished building.  Not sure about pricing right now, Orca's over all seem to be trending down big style.

We could maybe look at rigging this one and contract selling it maybe?

We can always switch the freighters - less types of components but more of them.

The orcas are selling well still.  We don't shift them that quickly but within a week or so they are sold.
We sold the last one for 510m

I noticed - and was very surprised given that the market average is dropping on them :)

still a decent profit margin, i say its a normallisation of the market rather than a drop.
