EVE Online / Mining op
« on: March 18, 2009, 11:03:36 AM »
Was thinking, should we try to have one day a week as a mining op for the corp?? Mainly since the good stuff is a fair bit away from our "home".

edit:
Also it could be a good way to restart the industrial side of the corp so to speak, since we from what I understand are still aiming for cap production (and t3 as well)

EVE Online / Hurricane 0.0 ratting setup
« on: March 04, 2009, 01:34:02 PM »
Trying to plan ahead (considering the market in fountain might not be like jita hehe) I was trying to figure out how to set up my cane for being able to take care of the rats in Fountain. I'm not sure which kind it might be but from what I managed to gather it is Serpentis (please do correct me if I'm wrong) which means I plan around a 50/50 therm/em dps to tank against.

After a bit of help from rubino I made this setup.
[Hurricane, EVEMON 0.0 Ratting Hurricane - Armor Tank modified t1]
'Meditation' Medium Armor Repairer I
Pneumatic Stabilization Actuator I
N-Type Kinetic Hardener I
N-Type Kinetic Hardener I

[empty rig slot]
[empty rig slot]

tank: 47.7k ehp, 159dps cap stable at 32%
dps: 126 with 880 volley (alpha??) and 13km optimal (yup sucks I know)
speed: 433

Would this setup be good enough to deal with the rats? (about 2 days training to be able to use the hardeners)
An alternative would be:
[Hurricane, cane 1]
N-Type Magnetic Membrane I
F85 Peripheral Damage System I
Beta Reactor Control: Diagnostic System I
Pneumatic Stabilization Actuator I
'Meditation' Medium Armor Repairer I
N-Type Thermic Membrane I

Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction

[empty rig slot]
[empty rig slot]
[empty rig slot]

tank: 37k ehp, 75dps for 23min
dps: 126, 880 volley but 16km optimal
speed: 198

So any ideas??
(the hardeners would of course be switched to the appropriate ones if something else than em/therm if needed)

Edit: seems I read the damange wrong hehe should be thermal/kinetic :) which makes a rather largish difference as the cane has rather bad kinetic resistance on the armour :( 159 dps tank insted of the 211 so have changed the setups to the appropriate ones.

EVE Online / Hurricane build question
« on: January 30, 2009, 12:40:47 PM »
What would it cost to have the corp build a hurricane?
I mean if since I can't provide (mine) the materials?
Would it be standard market cost for minerals and the cost of using the assembly line or corp mineral cost and assembly line?
(either way I suspect it ends up around 15 million right?)

Warhammer Online / Mark Jacobs quote
« on: January 30, 2009, 09:07:58 AM »
Quote
The corollary to that is if you’ve seen a game consolidate servers, you know it’s in deep, deep trouble — that’s not a healthy sign for an MMO,” he said, citing Sony’s January-released “Pirates of the Burning Sea” as a recent example. “It will be the same for ‘Warhammer.’ Look at us six months out. Look at us six weeks out. If we’re not adding servers, we’re not doing well.

Any bets as to whats happening right now :(

General Gaming / Eve competition (eventual)

A bit interesting imo, sounds like it could be a fun game or at the very least the fact that it seems based on realistic systems and physics (apart from ftl etc) is fun.

Warhammer Online / Activity?
« on: January 28, 2009, 06:03:13 PM »
Just a question.
How many intend to come back to war?
Stonestrike left yesterday which makes me the only one to have been online for about a month.

Hirn is also getting a order bonus.

EVE Online / PvP (group) training idea
« on: January 27, 2009, 08:09:43 AM »
Was thinking a bit about the corp training some pvp as a group, of course have no idea about the interest in it :).
But in low sec there are lots of pirates as we know.
I thought that trying to kill a few of them could be a good training for future pvp actions.
That is we could form a "fleet" from what we can field and go hunting to train the basics we might need.

So what do people think? Is this a good idea or am I completely off the rocker here :)

EVE Online / Eve voice vs other
« on: January 20, 2009, 04:44:19 PM »
Was just thinking about which of the systems are best?
What are the drawbacks to using the included voice com rather than TS/Vent etc?
