Group pvp is fun in most games so of course I want to try it :)
Personally I'm probably currently not good for much else than target practice hehe

One of the good things about eve pvp is that there are a variety of roles - which gives people some nice wiggle-room to find what they they/are good at/can do.

One of the aims of the poll is to get a handle on those that are willing - experience comes later with actual engagements.
One aspect of eve and 0.0 is that there are generally always people about in the alliance who will pvp - so it's easier finding groups.

This is exactly how I feel too :)  Ie, yes, I am interested, but I feel I am little to no use at the moment :P

Tacklers are always needed in groups - and the skills needed are fairly low.
Propulsion Jamming for the webbers and Warp Jammers, electronic warfare for ECM, Weapon Disruption for Tracking disruptors (anti guns) & Target Painting (for helping missile boats).
Otherwise all you need is decent tanking skills and High Speed Maneuvering for getting in quick and close.

We most likely have this covered already somewhere (please direct me there), but would it be possible to provide an EFT example for an easy to get and cheap (because I assume death is quite common among frigate tacklers)? Ie would for example a Merlin be an ok cheapo chassis for this task?

Microwarpdrive I, Warp Disruptor I, Stasis Webifier I

And then anything else that you can fit :-)

Doesn't sound too hard :) Once I have the skills I want for my Harpy (in two weeks or so) I'll go for these before going for the HAC plan :)  Or, if there is some urgent need, I might even change plans right now (but knowing my self, if I slip from my plan once, I'll never get it done...).

Haven't got the experience... since I have been a corp leader and a die hard miner for more that 3 years now... (wow, has it really been that long?)
Have gone towards missioning about half a year ago and I think I am almost ready (skill wise) for PVP. Although I still need much improvement after my initial skillplan.

In about 2 weeks I can fly the ship below (can be copied into EFT), which will be my PVP BS... and when I can fly a PVP BS I should also be able to create several battlecruisers, cruisers and frigates for PVP purposes... so now I need experience :)

Would it maybe be an idea to roam a bit into low sec from time to time to start getting experience?
