Saw it yesterday.

It rocks so much :)

Downey Jr pulls off the hero role quiet well, almost seemingly adlibing his entire part :D

going to see it tomorrow

at first i was sceptical of the choice of Downey Jr in the lead, until i saw early stills and thought yup thats Tony Stark

as Ironman is my No1 Marvel hero i have high expectations and its does look as though im not going to be disappointed

Best "origins" movie so far id say, good level of action and a few giggles.

Love it when he says in the final shot of the movie itself "I am Ironman". And the media goes wild. Just awesome the way he seems to buck the superhero/alterego trend.

Thats because Ironman is "known" in the marvel universe he doesnt hide behind any alter ego and works for the government agency S.H.I.E.L.D. under the command of NIck Fury, and also as part of the Avengers with the likes of Captain America, Spider Woman, Thor etc
