Warhammer Online / TTFN! - might be out a lil while.
« on: November 03, 2008, 06:48:14 AM »
Well I didn't play any saturday but that was fallout 3s fault. Sunday I log to find I didn't remember to set up my sub and after a couple of attempts at doing so realise It's probably as much me being skint as it is GOA's shitty sub service.

Hopefully, ill get paid within the week and ill see you soon. Worringly I might not get paid till the end of the month which means ill have to find the cash for a pre-paid card, which is certainly a possiblity.

So my apologies guys, cya in a week or so.

gives you layabouts a chance to catch up anyway  ;D

Can't think of anything for either Debaser or Omyi, nothing seems to fit!

Suggestions welcome though :)

Well I seem to be alone in thinking this game hardly grindy! Debs 36 and levels still fly by, I got 2 levels and 2 RR Ranks with ease this weekend.

Perhaps I'm just so fantastic or perhaps I just play too much ^^ one of the two.

My tip is to mix it up. I usually plan on doing an entire chapter, pick up all the quests hit them round in a semi cricle so I end up back at the camp for the hand in, then when all the chapter quests are done I look for a PQ group and give a few PQs a go before moving on to the next chapter and/or some rvr/scenarios.

Teaming with Vac and Orisha this weekend we have however found that small groups AOEing any and everything you come accross while questing is amazing XP and of course gets the quests done a lot quicker.

Warhammer Online / 26/10 T4 ORVR - I Take it back.

Despite my moaning about T4 I had a thoroughly good time tonight. Though we where massively outnumbered we were fighting the good fight down to the last keep. It can (hopefully) only get better, as more order filter up from t3 we should see more of these epic battles. Unfortunately, despite thinking I took lots of good screenies I clearly didn't.

This doesn’t really convey just how many players there were out there tonight; believe me this is but a fraction. I took a great screenie of me Vac and Beo manning the Oil in Karak Kwhatsit as well I'm sure!

Apologies for the thread hijak butI was planning to start another myself I'm looking to upgrade my shitty AMD x1300 for somthing with a budget of £120.

It's nothing vital as I'm not massivly missing the graphics being on anything other than low and tbh 25-30ish average dropping to 15fps very rarely in averlon last night wasn't so terrible. I would however like the option to hit Full effects for solo or smaller WB/Partying, Gunbad for instance.

AMD Athlon x2 4200+ 2.2 Ghz
4gig Ram
ATI x1300 256mb
XP - 34

is what I'm currently playing with and I was looking at a Radeon HD 4850 as an upgrade.

should I, shouldn't I for £120? and if I should what are my options. While I probably could go higher than that I'm not entirely sure I want to.

Any advice on the matter would be much appreciated.

Greetings!

With the addition of the new region-wide and RvR-wide chat channels we have seen a marked increase in Open RvR participation. In order to encourage this trend even further, we have made an additional adjustment to the experience awarded for killing enemy players in an Open RvR area. Previously we increased this amount by 50%. As of today, that bonus has been raised to 100%. With this change players killed in Open RvR will now be worth double the experience than those killed in scenarios!

As always, we will continue to monitor your feedback and work on ways to improve the RvR experience. More changes are coming, so be sure to stay tuned to the Warhammer Online Herald and monthly newsletter for the latest updates.

See you on the battlefield!

1.) Blade Runner - The film that got me into cinema and film making. It will forever be my number one.

2.) Sonatine - My favorite Kitano Cop drama. Perhaps not technically the best of the lot I just can't get enough of the charmingly surreal beach scenes.

3.) Fallen Angels - Wong Kar Wai pick here, a toss up between this and Chunking Express. 2046 gets a mention but it pales in comparison to these two. Amazingly atmospheric.

4.) For A few dollars more - Leone pick and easily my favorite though I of course love the others. I believe this best epitomized his heavily stylized stoic and brutish characters. Van Cleef and Eastwood working incredibly well together.

5.) Dazed and confused - the quintessential high school/coming of age film from another of my favorite directors Richard Linklater. "That's What I Love About These High School Girls, Man. I Keep Getting Older, They Stay the Same Age."
