Yup, wounds and toughness are the way to go. I see "Item Unavailable" on all items on Bab's profile, but i would bet talismans aren't icluded, bcs his total wounds are not much higher than i have at lvl 33. Set pieces have all sockets (i think).

Been trying to recruit via WHA, but to be honest at this point the main users of that board are either quitting and subsequently bitching about everything or are happily guilded, may have to go back to ingame recruitment and sort through the wheat from the chaff over time - if that option is workable then we can all give that a go.
The only unguilded character i noticed in T4 was the notoriously known Bionic. I believe consolidation is necessary. That means merging guilds. I am sceptical about recruitment. With Mines of Moria, i have not seen several guildies online so i guess we have atm less than twenty at least semi-active players in the guild.

I don't quite like the idea that i should stack hybrid stat for mitigation. When i see weapon skill on Archmage items (alot of them), i think 'ok, parry may be nice but armor penetration and hit is worthless for me, so i'm essentially wasting a significant part of that stat'. Same for melee, give them disrupt and magic resistances (with focus on spirit and corporeal for order), not willpower.

But generally yes i agree that ppl should pay more attention to their own means for survival.

Individual quests in all 3 chapters + PQs if you can get a group.

I have found that doing PQs can also give nice XP. Perhaps it was bcs i got into a group with players mostly in their high 30ies and we were killing mobs several lvls higher tha my level. Not to mention PQs can be quite fun (i liked both PQs near first Kadrin camp) and rewarding in terms of loot.

Well, alliance topic again. And recruitment, too.

Few days ago i met a guy from <Black Regiment> in a scenario. Unfortunately I don't remember the name. I commented that there aren't many of them around and he replied that the guild had been disbanded. Obviously, they still exist formally, but effectively the guild is no more. This leads me to the question: shall we try to enlarge our alliance?

Somewhat related topic: our guild is too small IMO. We have barely enough ppl to get one party for Bastion Stair or Mount Gunbad, or to make a group for TA farming (if a scenario can be farmed). There isn't enough ppl to do ORvR ... well *possibly* if we combine our T3 and T4 population, once the former levels up. There a few to none new applications recently. Does it make sence to start talking about potential guild merges?

Thanks to all who joined!

For info - we went into the easiest (Masta Mixa) wing first to get rep bcs we only got a tank from Cry Havoc with low influence. Afterwards we've got (thanks Artheric) another one who had sufficient inf so we cleared the hardest wing with 7 ppl and killed Solithex with 5. We wiped very unfortunately when we got out of Solithex portal so didn't got to see Ard Ta Feed. We finished the evening with quick run thru squig wing (medium difficulty) and killed Glomp.

Ofc, all 3 redeye set pieces which dropped were from careers which were not present  :P

Try more ORvR ... the rewards may not be so "tangible" as chain-queueing (spelling?) Serpents Passage. Also, as i've written elsewhere, there are now attempts to lock zones so ppl gor for other scenarios, not just SP. Those have multiple objectives and therefore substantially less zerging.

About joining T4 scenarios at low lvl: yeah, many destro are at lvl 40 or close, while order generally has much more ppl at low 30ies. Coupled with generally low number of heavy melee (tanks are ok, but very few WLs compared to marauders, and also WPs seem to be less numerous than DoKs) ...

Heya, planned this even for tomorrow, not sure on the starting time  ??? i think 8:30 or 9 pm CET. Lets get Solithex and hopefully also the big squig. Ofc if ppl are interested we can go to other wings too. Come and join the fun! (alliance event)

Quick update regarding T4: there's increased activity in ORvR. Yesterday, there was a nice fight going on in Dragonwake, we fought off destro sieging our keep repeatedly. Then moved to Thunder Mountain and tried to lock the zone. First it looked we might succeed but it was getting late and it seems that destro is generally more active in the later night hours (after midnight CET) and they were pushing us back. Since scenarios generate victory points for their relevant pairing, i happened to play 3 scenarios yesterday and none of them was SP  :D

At this moment, i am very unsure about the future of WAR.

Perhaps it's just my complete lack of experience with other MMOG (except WoW which i started to play in May 2005, when it was already established title). After an initial hype, this game failed to keep the critical mass of players per server to fuel further progress. I haven't seen enough ppl in area to finish PQ in ages, neither on my lvl31 main nor on my lvl12 alt  :( WAR world is mostly deserted, except perhaps for T3 scenarios and ORvR. Even in T3 there are dull evenings without real ORvR (keep siege with no defense is just PvE) and unless you want to play Toss-an-Orc, you may need to wait a while for scenario pop up (altho the dominance of one scenario is less distinct in T3 than in other tiers).

Sorry for offtopic rant ... This is not intended to be a whine. I like the game so far and think it has some potential. But i'm a bit pessimistic how is Mythic going to revive the sharply declining interest which has a cumulative effect since the game is based on mass action. I'm more prone to believe that T1/2 characters are mostly alts of T4 players who wait for "some change which will make stuff more entertaining" in T4. Even if those are new players in T1 / T2, they're still going to hit the T4 barrier.

Am i just a WoW-spoiled brat? Do you think WAR has good future?

Warhammer Online / Re: Career Mastery
« on: November 02, 2008, 08:21:39 PM »
Judging from wardb career builder tool, you can get up to 30 mastery points (or maybe 29, the tool was changed recently). 25 for lvl 40 and another 5 from renown - first point for RR 40 and then one point every 10 ranks.
