Sounds like it could be fun... but well it all depends on if its pve or pvp centric.

LORD HELMET:  I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's
former roommate.

LONE STARR:  What's that make us?

LORD HELMET:  Absolutely nothing. Which is what you are
about to become. Prepare to die.

so apparently they are pairing up

Smurfs and space elves vs Evil smurfs and green things ?!?!?!
"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

Thats a huge let down, id have preferred a huge rumble tbh, space elves v orks v humies v chaos and all the colours and shades in between.

2 factions is always pants.

Plus, Smurfs and Eldar would never ally anyway. It's just not in the lore. The Eldar may work toward the same goal during the course of a battle, but they would never identify themselves as part of the same faction.

exactly the only good xeno is a dead xeno in the eyes of the emperor

and Eldar are sneaky sods working to get things done without anyone seeing their hand

i know its for game balance reasons but mehhhhhhh

Its even worse. all SM [edit]shown in the trailers [/edit] weren't smurfs but Black templars. Those cant even ally with xenos

They should have based this on the Inquisition.

I wrote some fanfic for the Inquisition and Dark Angels 15 odd years ago that would of made an awesome basis for an MMO :D

An Inquisition based MMO would have rocked, would have needed to be very very dark and what not too.

Worse is they are limiting the chaos side to 1 choice of faction (Khorne followers I beleive), so no nurgle or tzeentch or even slaneesh (would have loved to be a noise marine).

Plus Smurfs don't wear shirts. It's uncivilised. And they think Smurf bombs are real weapons. And Smurfblades break so easily. It's just embarrassing.
