Hmm, good point there. Maybe chaos and dark elf just part of 'dwarf, elf, human'?

As for the kill-tactic: maybe a third option: be the first it will aggro on. That's how i think it works in quests anyway.

Been looking at the tome tactics (http://www.wardb.com/search.aspx?browse=6.3.20#spells:50+6) and noticed they only apply to monsters, not players. This means they are only useful in PVE. Aaaand of course in getting keeps. So greenskin, chaos and darkelf tactics would be worth the most.
The others are just nice because they're shineeeeyyy       ;D

I'm not gonna tell you how to play the game that you pay for.
No, I know...  :-\
Just ignore all the witty remarks I made in this topic, ok?   :-X

I like the beer-theme   ;)

made in France, 2005, when I also rode up the Mont Ventoux (http://www.geocities.com/yosemite/rapids/3892/south.htm). Here I am starting to make 'hang loose' symbol. Or was it just a lousy impersonation of a hiphopper? Dont remember. Anyway, being photographed climbing this mountain without my hands on the steer seemed cool to me then   :D
My face shows otherwise btw  :P

Healing players will grant renown correctly if the healed player has earned renown from killing other players recently.
This gives a hint on who to heal to earn more renown. Already noticed different RP numbers when grouphealing (2-10) and was wondering what influenced their value.

What about the Sylvan Blades? Although they might be a bit large with 150-ish ppl.

Seems like most of my BSoDs have been replaced by CtDs, so I'm happy!

I don't think anybody in this guild is trying to force anybody to a healbot
Was afraid it would seem like I ment this, but this is not what I had in mind, entirely...

(And, let's be honest, it is not exactly unknown to hear grumbling in guild chat about the usual "healers not healing, tanks not tanking, dps not dpsing appropriate targets" - we just tend to only apply it to outsiders  :D)
Not entirely, cause this IMHO does get the message through that healers should heal (etc.), also the guildies. IMO it states an opinion, rather than it being flaming PUGs. But maybe I'm too sensitive to these things.

attempting to play like it is leads to ineffective utilisation of your class as it stands.
so AM should healbot? this is exactly what I meant. I just dont care that much about playing the most effective char (take it as it comes  ;))

But talking of mastery builds
A more offensive AM would look something like this: http://www.wardb.com/career.aspx?id=20#0:0:15:43136:5:32:25 although I would like 1 or 2 more points to fill in the gaps...
Aaaand... A heal-/buffbot I would build like this: http://www.wardb.com/career.aspx?id=20#10:648:0:0:9:552:25

Quite some post you got there...
I have the same things to struggle with. I have never ever even come close to the healing output of a RP (or WP for that matter). I am not totally specced for healing, but still, I doubt I will get close if I would. Highest healing I pumped out in a scenario is around 40k. RP's can get 100k with 'ease'. It may also be playing style, I dont know.
I also have a tough choice between Vaul and Asuryan. But also noticed [spell]Cleansing Flare[/spell] and playing a lot of TA now, I definately want that! Don't know how useful it will be once I cant play TA anymore though. But heck, I'll respec if it turns out less usefull after that. Got enough gold to burn anyway.

What it comes down to IMO is: do you want a fun char to play or do you want to max out your char for healbot (less fun in my perspective). If you want to have fun: offensive specced AM can do that for me. I had games where I put out 20k dam (and 10k healing or some), which was pretty satisfying for me.
One thing I hoped to find in this guild is having fun. Healbotting or else (i.e. nagnagnag, you dont heal enough) isnt much fun for me.

And dont understand me wrong, I try to keep ppl up as much as possible. But sometimes I'm just too busy having fun and casting destro to bits and other ppl die. Just like tanks and DPS are sometimes just too busy smashing skulls in after which they look around just to find some witchelf standing over some very dead healers.

An alternative may be to have the healers charge up the second flight of stairs
Isnt this even a longer route through the melee than to the balcony?

Morale: i would prefer lvl3 morale grp shield instead of single target heal. And i would try to pre-cast it just before the "pull".
You mean this one right? [spell]Divine Protection[/spell]. I use it now and then, but wonder about how much it actually blocks. Only have the spell for a day or two and havent had time to check how long this buff stays. Anyway, I have saved quite some lives with the lvl 1 morale.

Quote
lets say you mix 3 tanks + 1 WP + 2 AM / RP
I like this idea, but lets not forget about the DPS ppl out there   ;)
But to do the calculations: 2 healers healing ~250 HP3S (lets not use the lvl 40 540, eh?) ~ 180 HPS/per target. This should be quite ok. Maybe if the tanks brought (and used!) some healthpotions, this would help some too.

The 1 sec spell has the advantage that it heals a nice ammount right at the beginning. When someone is below 25% and still taking damage, I use it to give him a relative quick little boost up and it just can be a lifesaver.
