looks fantastic

i always watch the star trek movies and enjoy them but dont get any re-watch value from them and i think its something to do with them being tv shows first.

this new one is not held back by that there are  no expectations by ppl of what this movie should be.

Just in from a preview showing before general release tomorrow.

Brilliant, Im still figuring out bits of the plot, but thats nothing a rewatch or two wont help.

Not uber trek faithful, but its in the vein of the early movies rather than the TNG-cast movies :)

Well worth watching!

Went and saw it myself I thought it was a brilliant film.  But then again I am not an uber trekkie. Most of the whining seems to be they changed it so it sucks ' Personally I thought it was the best trek film I have seen since first contact.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
