I've chatted with somebody from EH and they use English always when there are english speakers about.
They were friendly, chatty and helpful - they were also keen on us after I'd talked with them for a bit.
Currently EH look more promising - allows us to ease into 0.0 a little better.

EH jumped up and helped out when I was tackled in the Rorqual today - big + for them.

The support they gave renters when they didnt really have too shows them off in a great light for me too.

Edit: I'd suggest forging ahead with these guys, rather than building caps (or aiming too) for the general fountain populace, too easy to make us a target for anyone out there who wants to deny caps to their enemies and such like.

Just dont mention the war.

ok - I chatted with the alliance leads and it went well.
They've heard about us already from some chat's I've had with some of their other guys.
They like our approach and would be interested in us joining them :)

Based on the chat they don't think we need to be trial and can start with Tier 1.
While there is a process & cost involved - it's fair, cuts out any time wasters and minimises thier exposure to "spy" corps.
I said I would talk with you and, if you were in agreement, submit the ISK & apply tomorrow.

This is their charter:

Trial membership (max 2 months)

* Corp joins and instantly transfear 10 mil per member for the next month ( current month are free if it has passsed 10 days , fees is in advance ) unless a corp joins the very first days of a month.
* JB net, Outpost , forum and vent access ( limited forums )
* Are allowed to trow up pos's to "live from"

Tier 1 1-3 months

* 500 mil donation , skips trail and gets tier 1 instantly , first month free (current month is also free if it applies) and may sort the deathstar later ( slack time 3 months or must be done before going for tier 2 )
* Are running and self financing one DS in a designated system ( according to pos specification below )
* Monthly fee is 8 mil per member and month
* Owning or working towards 1 capital ship
* Moon mining is ok r8 - r16 ( profitable moon spread to all corps do apply )

Tier 2 3-12 months

* Tier 1 is still in effect
* Are pulling some extra weight in some regard ( running a jumpbridge for example )
* Monthly fee is lowerd to 4 mil per member ( or 50% )
* Higher security acceess , are to be considerd as a full member
* May mine any moon beside r32 and r64 unless approved
* Have POS gunners or are training them ( 4-5 gunners )
* Owns 1 capital ship
* Corp is expected to be active in fountain and on ops.
* Moon mining r8-r32 ( profitable moon spread to all corps do apply )

Tier 3 / Core corp +3 months

Another tower? or can we convert the current one (after what i'd assume to be a move into their part of space?). However I still think a tower should rely on ice from local ice belts not shipped from half way across space and bought on the market cos we have no one mining ice in hisec for a caldari tower. So if it has to be a new tower, maybe one that uses ice found in Fountain and then "free" corp ops to fuel it?

Also dont accept just yet - I want to clean out the really inactive mains (debacers toon for example) keep costs down.

Future towers will be based on the locally available ice.

Ok - will wait for the clearout of those inactive but there's no real rush on it - as the initial donation will cover us for about 6 weeks.

I've attached a copy of the chat logs for the conversation last night.

Germans suck:
Quote
ext forums = CAOD and scrapheap

[00:39:14] Red 7 > Aye - np
[00:39:42] Red 7 > Some members are part of the scrapheap ganknights - but they're not forum whores

I agree with EVE-O (not just COAD) bans in any way shape or form (forum sucks)

But Im a 1500+ post count poster on SHC. I wont restrict my posting - admittedly I dont post in GBBS (a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better version of COAD with decent rules) although I have access to that forum section so that shouldnt be a problem as long as thats what their rule means.

Not a bad chat apart from the above though. I have one thing Green FC me? ;)

*grins*  You took your sweet time catching it.
Just setting expectation to a level you can exceed.

It's mostly the politics side of things they want to avoid - the slag/troll fests.

:D

As for the politics - GBBS is HEAVILY modded - trolls/way off topic bs, numbers whining and such gets you banned first go most times :)

*shrugs* If we have at least 1 DS tower the way they like then there's no comeback on us.

Dont get me wrong, I like that they see the sense in the setup (excepting that fuel ice "may" be an issue - havent had time to check while down that way what ice produces we'll end up with) given how popular it is. BoB used it alot, Goons do, half the north does as well :D

I agree with you - having the same setup is also a drawback as people know how to deal with it.
I'd love something faction - but it costs much more.

Been keeping an eye on contracts via my trader for cheap BPC's for large faction towers, but they are hard to get a hold of.  Same for the gear.

I'll keep looking, end of the us shift and the deadzone at its end just before the Eu gets up is a good time to find silly priced items on contracts :D
