Been playing XCOM, Pro Evo 13, Defiance, Planetside 2, Guild Wars 2
All good. Special mention for Defiance. Winner of the 'Looks proper shit but is actually ace' award
I find Defiance interesting. I'm a sucker for a good post-apoc TV show.
How is it good?
I honestly cannot tell you. It just is. The combat is reasonably basic, the side missions can be repetative, the UI is awful and its not exactly brimming with innovative features but It's just a LOT of good honest fun.
It feels satisfying speccing as a sniper type and clearing out a camp before going in to grab the objective, or managing to survive on a thread of health when faced with 9 or 10 enemies (although its rare you do survive). Its a very challenging game and if you don't get it right you can find yourself instantly overrun with enemies. the vehichles are also tonnes of fun and are actually enviromental objects in the sense that you can actually plough through a group of enemies to kill them. Not just transparent MMO mounts.
The icing on the cake is the 4 man co-op missions. they are effectivey what flashpoints are to SWTOR. They are quite simply awesome. Great environments and visual effects, hard as hell some of the bosses look very impressive. Had some right laughs in them. Overall, the game looks good has a main story arc (with cutscenes) aswell as episode missions connected to the TV show (not seen it though, so cant comment on how it integrates). And its sub free, same model as guild wars 2

XCOM is absolutely fantastic, can't stop playing it at the mo. And I usually can't do with strategy games. I actually went out and bought a legit copy this weekend so i could get beat over and over again online.

the title kind of ruins the ending, though.
I am Legend by Richard Matheson. Forget the film ever existed (like that's hard), it completely changed/ruined the ending, and even contradicted the very reason why the book itself is called 'I am Legend'. The book is insanely good.

Keep at it, dude. Your toon is v weak at the mo. As soon are ytou manage to get enough certs to upgrade reflex sights etc etc it gets easier.

I had the same. Just delete the entire planetside 2 beta folder 
worked a treat for me, now installing.
Keep me updated on server. Pandion Knights are joining as Vanu, so would be awesome if you join the same server as them. That way I can play with you guys AND give them some pasty.

NC have the attitude. They stand for freedom, whereas the Terran is more of a dictatorship/commy regime. The Vanu are pretty cool, advanced tech etc, but they use energy/laser type weapons. For me it has to be real bullets. Full metal jacket, baby. No functional differences, it's all about what you want to stand for ingame.
You can train into leadership and get squad beacons to deploy on a cooldown, so the whole squad can spawn together. You can spawn at any facility/outpost you own and you have a choice of which one to spawn at. As you usually own the region next to the one you are fighting for, you are never too far away from your buddies you are fighting with

Loads of humans on a ship stranded from earth. They have a big lover's tiff, some leader gets significantly deader than he was previously, factions form, a planet is found...NC are rebels, Terran are Nazis and Vanu found a load of Alien shit and now run around thinking theyre Predator. Bout it really.
