Parent of Gamer asks Son to Honour Geneva Conventions (http://www.boingboing.net/2009/02/22/parent-of-gamer-asks.html)

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you guys don't worry yourselves so much about the Geneva Conventions in Eve.*

* You will horribly disappoint me if you say you do.

well i do partially, since i dont use nerve gass. Also i dont commit mass murder or use other weapons of mass destruction. I just just conventional missiles. And i dont shoot civillians (since imo a pod pilot is a soldier :) )

So, dont know the exact contence of the geneva convention, but guess i partially keep to it. :)

lol

Personally I'm not a fan of podding (outside of 0.0) - as I follow the tenant, "Do unto others, only what you want done unto thyself".

Oh dear.

As a learning tool then yes getting her son to read the Geneva Conv as a requirement to playing the game isnt such a bad idea.
Forcing him to adhere to it whilst playing.....lol i'd love to come up against him. He'd die every time.

As for in the real world.. there's no such thing as a clean war. No matter what side you are on there will always be 'war crimes' . If people were sensible and controlled enough not to go against the 'rules' Then they'd be sensible enough to sort it out without resorting to war in the first place.
hmmm
now what did i do with that Sarin i was saving for a rainy day..
