Warhammer Online / Tier 2 Scenarios, any tips for Engineers?
« on: October 02, 2008, 07:23:51 AM »
So now played all the tier 2's at least once now I dont have to travel to queue. Anyway was wondering about some tips for us ranged DPS engineers in these scenarios?

Ok so the CTF is easy for a ranged boy, go defensive and setup a turret or as I did last night go for the area effect repeater bolt thrower and just paste everyone from a distance (killed 32 folks doing that last night).

But the Murder Ball is harder as everyones running around like crazy, means the turret is fairly useless and that's a big part of my damage output. Likewise the Stone Troll Crossing is possibly even harder unless I just sit on the pacifier hill defending, again I can rarely get the turret up before everyone legs it.

Hopefully soon get the insta build turret and that wont be an issue but that's still 2 mastery points away yet so goodness knows when that'll be.

Anyway wondered if any of the other Engineers had found any good tactics?

Warhammer Online / My PQ fun
« on: October 02, 2008, 07:17:05 AM »
So last night I spent ages trying to do the first Chapter 5 Dwarf PQ, the one with all the undead just outside the first camp in the MoM. We kept getting to the last chapter but due to no one in the area actually co-ordinating or from what I could see even communicating we repeatedly fell over at the boss. Annoying cos I first turned up at the beginning of the night ran in and joined in killing the boss right at the end only to manage to get a lesser loot bag in the deal and yet despite repeated efforts we couldnt seem to complete this one.

Healers werent healing and tanks werent tanking. In the end I gave up and left having managed to farm all 3 levels of influence so I could at least claim those rewards.

Similar happened in other PQs as well. It's odd some times they go really well and other times folks just seem so disjointed it isnt real.

Anyway lesson learned I wont bog myself down for so long in PQ's. Just get my 3 levels of reward and then move on if the quest fails. Not to say I don't like the rewards, did the level 4 bandits one twice and got both items I fancied from the reward bag.

Only thing I can hope is that all that Influence farming at least helped up my XPs as well without cashing in any quests. Hopefully means I wont hit that slow stage as soon then where it's hard to get levelled.

Anyway tonight I will mostly be questing but if there's any group stuff going down then give me a yell.

Warhammer Online / Axenars attendance.
« on: September 30, 2008, 07:33:27 AM »
Well I've finished finally building my Lego Death Star so my free time has increased. I can't ever do a Tuesday but expect to see me back online tomorrow for some major action. Plan some questing but if theres any groups a level 12 can join then gimme a shout.

Fancy trying some of these Altdorf sewers quests as I actually got the quest asking me to go there. In the meantime though gotta get that rank up in both Renown and normal. Lots of influence to gather now I'm in tier 2 as well. Gotta love those rewards.

Warhammer Online / Gotrek and Felix

So being a fan of the books I heard that the characters appear in Altdorf so before I logged last night I scourded every pub in Altdorf to no avail but one of them (The screaming cat or something) was closed.

Anyway finally found out it doesnt open up until the city gets higher ranked and the characters appear at Rank 5 for the city. They then dish out quests supposedly. However one other site said they were in the Mastiff but as the other place was closed it makes more sense that they'll be in there when it opens up.

I'm assuming the city rank goes up based on which side is winning the overall RVR.
