my 2 colleague analists are browsing the web also
Wait, do you suggest you are... errr... wait a second. On a second thought, I don't want to know. Forget that I intended to ask something, carry on!

So, I guess you will get busy then. You should have the first character at Vol 3 about 8 years from now, right? ;)  :P

My intention is to get to volume 3 on my burglar this year. Haven't seen the vol 3 quests so far on any toon. Remains to be seen if I manage to do that :D

Oh, and more people will be accepted in to the beta in a couple weeks.

A friend of mine from USA claimed in IRC last night he is in beta. He said he was mighty disappointed, using the words "SWTOR is a poor single-player game,  but with a monthly fee". He claims there is no reason what so ever to group together with other players, and if more than one are on the quest in the group, only the group leader gets to interact during the negotiations (so even if you would want to make different choices during discussions, you just have to accept what ever the group leader chooses). Basically, according to him, it means there are zero groups going on in beta, everybody runs around solo.

I don't know how accurate that description is, but I don't think I'll pre-order this game before I've seen a few proper reviews from people who actually have played the full game a bit.

well was fun with the 3 of us even if i did die lots :)

sucks that only premium members can form platoons.
Yeah, it was fun :)

I got the premium account mainly so that I could drive together with my kids. *Usually* counting alound "3-2-1-NOW" saw us end up in the same match, but too often we ended up on different sides. So I did eventually cough up the ~10 euros for a month long premium account.

Once this premium runs out I'll just buy the 24 hour premiums during weekends when we (me+kids) play together. That until the matchmaker is fixed, and the higher tanks become as fun to play as the tier 2 and 3 tanks. It's no fun to end up in a tier 6 tanks in a tier 10 fight, but that sadly is how retarded the matchmaker is at the moment :(  In a tier 2 tank (minus artillery, who can end up in high tier fights) you end up at most against tier 4 tanks, and in a tier 3 tank at most against tier 5 opponents; that is how it should IMO be even at higher tiers too, at most +/-2 tiers to your tank.

Did beta accounts not carry over then?
Nope, they were wiped.

EDIT: Not the accounts themselves, but tanks etc.

FD, is that some tank company?
Frozen Dawn, a Finnish speaking "Hands of Justice", ie presence in multiple games where old farts hop from game to game. Joined it in WoT a while ago as I play in their Blood Bowl league (I have a few real-life friends in FD; I've just had this weird habit of not joining Finnish only clans, feels weird to speak about games in Finnish when we use English anyway in the game), got to a few Clan Wars fights so far (even though FD has been since then been kicked from the map; FD will make a returns once the clan has more tier 10 tanks (which is all that matters in Clan Wars)).

Was nice to run in platoon with Warcold, and for the last one Caradir joined too :) We did some half a dozen runs, all wins I think. I'll be online in the evening at some point, lets see if I am needed for clan runs or if I can make runs with you guys :)  I much prefer the low-tier fights, much more fluid and tacticaly changing fights than in the higher tiers (not that I have that horribly high tier, Panter at tier 8 is my highest).

EDIT: Woah! Seems I got my 1000th win with Warcold :)

I didn't play this during beta, but began to play with my kids a few weeks back. Then something snapped, I had a few days off from work and now I've played almost 1300 games  ???  I am not spectacularily good with the game, but damn it is hooking. It is definitively a very manly game, because there is much talk about *penetration* (the more you penetrate, the better), *size* (of your gun; bigger is better) and of course how *steep angle* you have :p

Ridiculously easy game to learn and there is the constant feeling of progress even though it of course is a horrible grind.

I doubt this will make me sign up for random pugs much more than today. I might sign up for more instances as tank for my guild but thats about it.
No incentive to tank for guild mates more often than before. You get the Call to Arms boost only if you queue *alone* (aka not with guild mates) to a random heroic.

Yeah, still around, altough lately I've mostly played with RL friends on another shard. The sad thing is they are playing Guardians, and the Guardians just are the suck compared with the cool and righteous Defiants.

Definitively a lot less people in the 20+ areas. If one looks for the planarites for gear, then it is still best to do the 18-20 rifts in Freemarch.

Anyway, I still do like a lot I can hop from doing quests to running rifts to running PvP mini-games to running dungeons to crafting to doing quests. I presume  it will get boring eventually, I already noticed once I thought "not again" when a zone wide invasion happened just when I attempted to finish a few quests; then it went over and I joined eagerly the raid to stop the invasion :p

So far I like it very much. The game feels very polished, and the souls system is IMO simply great :)

Logged in at noon local time, 2 minute queue. Didn't log off all day until a moment ago. Spent the day mostly crafting stuff, Fitzer is now quite a decent outfitter (can craft gear for much higher level than he is), while Takuur can craft some lowbie armour and Praedor some lowbie weapons.

People have (damn you all :p) chose different names for their toons in Rift than what I am used to. So I don't know who the hell is who :p

My Defiant toons on Blightweald:

Fitzer - Bard level 15
Swuul - Mage level 1
Praedor - Justicar level 6
Takuur - Warrior level 1

Gave up trying to get in last night, went to bed and woke up early this morning. Created warrior Takuur (somebody had nicked the name Leonidas), Cleric Praedor and mage Swuul (all at level 1 still). My Bard-Ranger-Bladedancer Fitzer is now at level 7, riding his turtlemount.
