Star Trek Online. I'm a lieutenant commander.

I'm bloody awful at the ground parts of the missions.

I suppose it would be a bit silly to sign back up for a month just to catch the server transfer.

Damn you Coruscant for being such a lousy zone.

That's good to know. I had visions of Diablo 3 Error 37 madness.

New question: If I buy a single-player game via Steam, do I have to be online to play it?

I'm moving in the near future and thinking to buy Mass Effect for the time when I won't have an internet connection.

The Voice of Evil: the darkest Lego castle ever built.

Should any of you wish to turn your children into future Dark Lords, I'm thinking this is a good start.

Of course, the catch with Steam, for those of us with only one monitor, is that if someone says hi while I'm in a game I don't know about it.

I think I've added myself to the HoJ Steam group.

No idea what I may have screwed up by changing my display name, but we shall see.

I do actually need this downloadable from Steam to download games, right?

There's no downside to installing Steam, is there? Just want to be sure it's not going to start blasting me with stuff, or chewing up huge amounts of my bandwidth.

Well played, sir.

This is like a stripped down arena esque "theres money in esports apparently" style version of WAR.

Quite seriously, to what extent is that true? I know for many WoW players arenas were the only thing that mattered, and judging by the number of times I suffered in PvE for a PvP tweak, Blizzard themselves certainly take it seriously.

I'm vaguely aware there are entire competitive leagues for FPS games and fighting games, with sponsorship and media coverage and the whole shebang.

Think this thing's got any legs? I mean, it was always a fairly PvP-oriented game, and tier 1 was damned fun, from memory.

Yeah that's definitely an EVE thing, what with all the high-density tables.

Feel free to add my toons to your friends list though. I'd be happy to help out with some of the tougher hideouts, and if you get to level 30 we can hit some duos.

My hero toons are:
- Psilance, level 30 psion
- Lightshaper, level 30 Green Lantern
- Coldrune, level 20 ice

My villain toon is a level 30 sorcerer named Noctirian, but I hardly play him.

There are a couple of hideouts that are a complete pain in the low 20s, the Green Lantern fight in City Hall and the head of Intergang in Gotham. If you get that far, let me know and we'll see if they can be duoed.
