I highly recommend also checking out the side-by-side version if you have the time.

If I ever get into making EVE (grieving) PvP vids, this would be a nice song to accompany it  :D

Aye, he's good.
I also really like the American series of his. Amazing good covers, One (u2) and Hurt (NIN) are great examples.
When I first heard his take on 'One' on the radio the DJ said: "This is the first time I truly understand what this song is about". This is what he can do to songs. Nice!

Just a funny story, as an intro on a coop between Yonderboi and Soundsculptors.

Call me a sentimental old fool but this clip&song actually brought a tear to my eye. :)
http://www.hetstormt.com/the_miniature_world/stand_by_me___!/?cid=200&media_id=7&catid=1

Linking from the site I originally found it on, since Youtube keeps buffering halfway through the movie for me - the site is of a dutch marketing/branding company for those who wonder.
These movies they gathered in this section are "inspiration".

Edit: Found the original site. There's more great songs on there!

Mine too :)
I found this movie of him too:
Code: [Select]
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=7135441(Myspace seems to screw up including it in the post, so I put the link in a code box)

And this one is just great (again)

Edit: I'll stop bugging you guys after this, but I just found this playlist on Youtube which has dozens of Grampa Elliot songs:
Code: [Select]

And finally while clicking around links from the first movie, I also found this speech by Johnny Cash, thought it might interest you guys:

Guy eating one of the hottest peppers in the world (300,000 ish on the hotness scale, hottest is about 1M, but little/no peppers in between). Normal pepper (what in Holland is called Spanish Pepper) is like 1500 or so.

having had a chilli related incident during my student days i can say that strong Chillis and mucous membranes dont mix.

having to "dip" a part of my anatomy in cold water a few times every hour for a day or so was no fun.

lesson learnt, do not go to loo after chopping chilli without washing hands first :) i made that mistake so you dont have to.

also check out how on the scale police pepper spray is more than 10x as strong as habanero peppers.

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

cool songs  :)

saw soundgarden live once, but bit like dire straits: very boring live IMHO  :-\

thanks for the chili tip  :D
found the clip when looking for info about the peppers i was making sambal from for a collegue who was bragging that he could eat chillis without a prob. didnt turn out hot enough in the end though, but tastes good :)
but the chilli's itself were so 'hot' (+/- 100k on that scale (Madamme Jeanettes) that I used a fork to hold em in place while chopping em up. didnt want to risk any mishaps  :D
