"Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it back again. However, take away from them the power to create money and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money." Josiah Stamp (Governor Bank of England 1928-41)

I've read about how disrupting Tourettes can be, but seeing it is a whole different matter:
http://www.touretteskaraoke.com/index.php/serious/35-tourettes-syndrome/76-the-bad-days

On the other hand, as I've read in books by Oliver Sacks ('The man who mistook his wife for a hat' is a mustread even if you're not that much into psychology/neurology per se), the ticcing can give ppl with Tourette's a feel of superhuman timing etc. For instance, they can be excellent drummers. The rythm of the drumming seems to suppress tics, but on the other hand, if they take meds that suppress the tics, they loose this sense of timing. So even though the title of this vid says that he rises above Tourette's, it might be safer to say that his Tourette's enables him to do this.

But here I go, lecturing again  :-X
'Our lives are not our own. From womb to tomb, we are bound to others. Past and present. And by each crime, and every kindness, we birth our future.'

'We are not enemies, but friends. We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection.
The mystic chords of memory will swell when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.'

not lecturing matey just trying to educate peoples and stop them being complete fuckers due to ill thought out assumptions about mental problems.

I was one of those fuckers before my first hand experiences.

True, although I'm not saying you can not laugh about this. Let's not be spastic and politically correct about it... it is funny to hear these 'words you are not to say in public' littered all over this song. On the other hand, keeping in mind that this is not a freak or someone who tries to be funny would not hurt too.

Ooh look! There is a vid of Sacks about Tourette! Never knew that existed!
Here you see another man with Tourettes (who has other forms of ticks etc., as Sacks explains every individual with Tourette Syndrome (TS) has a unique way in which TS expresses itself). This man does karate and as explained (somewhere 11:00 - 12:00) the ticks are incorporated in his karate moves in such a way that someone who wouldnt know of the TS would not really observe the ticks. As Sacks says: "He then rides the Tourette, instead of the Tourette riding him".

Tourettes Karaoke is fucking piss funny. And when i say funny, I mean literally not being able to breathe funny. And it's not just the factor of 'oh look he cant stop swearing huh huh huh', it's the fact that this guy obviously suffers with it, he doesnt even bother trying to get any sleep unless his ticks stop (imagine that), yet he has the downright balls and the self confidence to do this. People who can not only deal with their afflcitions, but can take them on the chin so well they can openly laugh at themselves go down in my book as feckin heroes. He deserves a round of applause...I'm laughing with him, not at him.
