There are some advantages to it beeing sharded and encounters are done by matchmaking.
Goons will have a much harder time blockading any one system so grieving will be much harder to do

Oh god, you're one of THOSE people. The Grr Goons are gonna destroy x game people.  Wow, havent ever met one of those. Pleased to meet you.

Hey man dont bite my head off, you've been playing EvE too long, i think you suffer from bitter vet syndrome! HELL you even react like a goon! Guess its bitter goon syndrome.

Fact is, at least while i was playing EvE, alliances like goonswarm or whatever they were calling themself, RA and what not, made it impossible for the medium and smaller corps to gain sov. Or is that a fable?
By sharding its harder to lock off a system, also harder to get swarmed when engaging, making small engagements more fun and frequent.

But please to meet you, and is it bitter goon or bitter vet?  ;)

MEH

love zombie movies, but this one just isnt it. One of the few i actually know there is a book of and that i've read (the only one really) but;
wow that movie totally managed to "rape" the book
its not a bad movie perse but its absolutely not in line with the book.
if you have seen it, don't read the book before watching.
book >>>>>>>> movie

the books is about a reporter writing up stories after the event, and the movie is about the events.
but if things in the movie happened, than the book couldnt have happend

and why o why did they take fast zombies

world war Z is about slow zombies

officially its because The walking dead hat slow zombies.

anyway movie, its ok if you are into zombies, book is soooooooo much better!

i wouldnt count on it, sometimes it seems he wants the "next gen console boys" to cry because their pc boxes wont run the game. (it wont be out on consoles so no crappy ports or whatever)

but i think it was mentioned by next year you'd want at least a good graphics card and a decent amount of Ram in your pc.

there currently just is the hangar where you can see your ships. (well not even all of them!)

it has a lot of potential and personally i do think its worth getting but thats just my idea.

@Goatboy, their funding is now $20,384,363 not 18m you should check the site more often :D

if you received 12.000 credits you are an early backer, so untill the 26th i think of november you get LTI on any ship you buy :D

Also i am a total fanboy so yea i am rather up-to-date :D

As for your question, if you want to spend it, at this time it seems the workbench is best, because that is going to have actual use ingame. That would leave you 2k and you can spend it on whatever you want in your hangar

Personally i am still hanging on to my UEC. As soon as the dogfight module is out we should be able to earn a couple of them so i'm gonna see if i van get a buggy else i will also get the workbench. When the PU (public universe) is out you can earn them ingame. There also i a limit to how much UEC you can buy per day or per week (not sure)
this is to prevent pay to win when the PU is live

it will get exploration they even plan introducing new systems just by adding them and the path to them has to be found.
Also if you are playing, i've got so call LTI so if you want a package with LTI just let me know and we'll set something up (runs to till the 26th of november)

As for releasing the way they do, they are developing incrementally, and i am guessing the development method they are using is SCRUM. They also set up the game modular, so they are releasing mods that hook into eachoter. Also CR said they are showing us stuff a lot sooner than when they would have been working with publisher.

And end 2014 the beta for the public universe is planned, end of this year they;ve already got dogfighting planned so should be able to fly by than!.
