Where should we meet up in the case of a global zombie apocalypse or nuclear disaster?
-
My safe place is Stirling Castle, cliffs pretty much on 3 sides only really 1 route up to its entrance.
My ancestors built it on that extinct volcano for a reason.
-
Also it has a collection of medieval weapons that i think are more beneficial vs Zombies than anything that requires ammo or fuel.
A moat and murder holes on the wall also , what more could you need in a base of operations.

Helipad.
Tea.
-
Mars.
According to a movie I have yet to see, Mars is full of near-nekkid women and we will all be brooding superheroes.

you may be disappointed with that
-
Hollywood wouldn't lie to me.

Tea.
Helicopter can land in the courtyard judging by images.
Pillage tea while making your way north. =P
Let's say we pick this castle. What's the best way for both UK residents and mainlanders to get there?
-
you do know that contrary to some UK delivery companies (who never see my cash again, Yes Citylink im looking at you) we do pretty much have motorway all the way to Stirling (it can get ropey slightly further North)

But it will be a traffic jam/slightly portable graveyard.
Hence, I'll fly in :)

With your handy dandy piloting license?
I would like to know where Garry imagines we grow new crops in Stirling Castle.
And do we plan on letting anyone else trying to use said castle live?
-
down the stairs to your right as you exit the main gate, there is a collection of entirely fenced off graveyards, cant think of more fertile soil anywhere.
-
Look dude, if you want me to provide oral services and get my ass over there all the way from here, I need to see some plans man. Do you have a map of the grounds?

Now you've done it.
Rereading WWZ and looking at castles...
Monday's productivity just hit 0.
-
Stirlings down side, close to a population centre. *Which I know is good for raids for tinned food, but still all those zombies...
-
Just go to someones house. Doesn't really matter where you go.

tut tut unless yo have hamsters running those things you cant rely on electricity to be on.
come on zombie 101 :P
-
You can get manual dynamo treadmills, d'uh ::)
-
Really. Zombie Fucking Apocalypse. And you're going to drag treadmills around?
-
And you're going to walk halfway across europe through hordes of zombies to get to a castle.
-
You're not allowed in the castle anymore. ;)
-
10 km bicycle ride and then a wee swim...

I was thinking a bit closer to home. =P

my place is good too...

You're all a bunch of lazy farts tbh. I'll just off myself when the apocalypse comes.

Does it have its own water supply, and plenty of food stocks in already. If it doesnt have plenty of food, most likely scuppered as the neds will loot the local food stores pretty sharpish...
(ive been googling it, its pretty secure)
-
Yes it has its own water supply, its a defensible castle sorted for siege survival.
Initial food supplies would be the stock of the cafe etc that is used to feed tourists, forays out would need to be done for larger surplus to the various supermarkets and store all within 10 minutes. As i pointed out to goatey there are secure graveyards right beside teh castle that could easily become vegetable gardens etc very quickly.

I'd go for a fort closer by
https://maps.google.com/maps?q=52.36481,5.069094&hl=en&ll=52.364928,5.068903&spn=0.005562,0.016512&num=1&t=h&z=17
than again i live above a supermarket and there is one entrance so im save here.
-
alternatively you could go to a fort closer by. ITs got gates and they can close, and there should be plenty enough to forage here.

-
Nah, we should all go to the US...
Plenty of guns and baseball bats there...
What's the fun in being holed up in some castle with a bunch of blokes?
-
do you really want to escape home that much? :D
-
you want to be holed up in some castle with a bunch of blokes for the rest of your life?
